Massive lack of intelligence in our play for a while there. Template and profile of our midfield backfires on us at times and means we fail to assert control from the pitch in difficult moments. Definitely something we need to improve on.

Much the better team at the end of the half though. Stoke just don't know how to control space. All you need to do is keep the ball moving, keep the pressure up and they'll give you the space to create chances. Best way to take Crouch out of the game as well.

Glad Glen Johnson plays for them.

I think we need to keep attacking, don't take our foot off the pedal at all. Stoke look dangerous every time they get forward, we need to well and truly kill them off.

I think Bobby really needed that goal, surely he's got a weight off his shoulders now and can play with a bit of
Freedom now.

Come on reds! 6-1

Loving Origi's complete switching of play.

We clicked all of a sudden from being a shambles. Quite amazing turnaround.

Pathetic commentary by Sky. They made Stoke sound like World beaters even when they were just about having an even 10 mins.

First goal was very poor. Both Clyne and Mane should have pressurised the ball, Lovren was poor and Simon was very poorly positioned.

Simon did make a great save later

We had most of the ball and it was only a matter of time. Lovely goal by Lallana.

Brilliant goal by Bobby.

We need to tighten up and concentrate. We should win this but we need to keep it tight.

Fucking hate it how commentators immediately jump on Mignolet. Thought that was a difficult save to make, it was at close range and a powerful header. I'd blame Lovren who fell asleep marking Walters
One day, people will hopefully look back and say "I was there son. I was there the year that Spurs won nothing again."

Those Stoke lads will never have been so glad to hear the half time whistle, they were blowing out their arse the last 10 minutes of the half. They've been trying to match our intensity and pressing, not a chance they can do that for anywhere near 90 minutes.

Keep playing our game and we'll win this comfortably. I hope we batter these twats in the second half.

No, and it's really fucking annoying. Does my head in that teams always seem to be able to raise it against us and be utter donkey for the rest of the season.

Love how this team clicks into gear. Would like it to happen before giving the opposition a headstart but so it goes. When we start moving the ball around we're as good as anyone at the moment. More goals in this for us if we keep this up, and you'd think a couple of goals would be a better cushion against something spawny from Stoke than thinking job done now.

Origi's pace seems to be coming back with that run in the first team. He looks really rapid now. He's been excellent in the first half and after a slow start so have some others. Hendo's passing has been on and off at times. He's been great sometimes and at others he's been surprisingly poor by playing poor passes when under pressure. Klopp had a word with him and Mane about something. Since that time, we've been quite good. Wonder what was said.

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Mignolet, Lovren and Henderson finding it really difficult to deal with Stoke pushing up on them, thought Stoke deserved their goal and could easily have been 2-0...we got into it more as the half went on but need another to secure this

Crouch dominated our centre backs for the first half an hour and the problems came from that. Lovren really gets tatted when he is coming off second best.

Mignolet should do better for the goal but I feel very sorry for him. The marking let him down massively.

Started well and finished well. More of that and we will be fine. We always seem to find a way to stamp our style of play on a game which is encouraging.

Wow, what a half!  I said stoke were coming for 1 point but I was wrong, that was a worrying period up until the end equaliser.
After the goal there was 1 team in it and I'm really happy with the character shown to come back to take the lead, well needed goal for Bobby which will give him some much needed confidence.

What's up with our keepers?

I think we've figured them out now though, hopefully we bag a couple more goals

Excellent goal from Lallana, and then from Firmino. Absolute quality finishes both of them. Lovren let his man get across him too easy (after looking directly at him), and then Mignolet didn't make a step.

Thought Stoke started well - that Diouf is quality - but we wrestled the game back. Need to keep playing the precise and incisive stuff instead of the hopeful and forced.

Job not done completely, but provided intensity and tempo stay the same, should see this out.

Joe Allen has been the best player on the field

Laughable.

The post also.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Origi flipping the ball out wide to Mané is a great outball.

great time to draw level and even better time to take the lead, keep it up and we should be fine~~

origi deserves special mention for his lay-off passes and first-time switches to the other side of the pitch, opened up the field quite a few times, which also brought about the first goal. what a talent we have on our hands

Great response to going a goal down. Bit of a bad goal to concede, with more than one guilty party involved, but it wouldn't be any other way for us so far this season. I think if we score a 3rd within the first 10 minutes of the 2nd, they'll fold. Would prefer if it came in the last 10, though.
