Presumably he had no idea they all hated it here until after he signed his contract extension.

Apparently West Ham want £40m. According to the Telegraph, Payet wanted out in the summer, but West Ham received no offers. His agent pushed for a wage increase, which he got, as well as being paid a £1m loyalty bonus in September.

So he gets his loyalty bonus and then fucks the club over by declaring he wants to move, classy guy. Also,  how the fuck can West Ham ask for £40m when they offer peanuts for Sunderland's and Hull's best players, players that are crucial to those teams staying up. They'll get nothing like 40m.

He's got no right to complain then, he saw pound signs and signed the contract. Especially dumb if he didn't get a release clause

A lot of what is detailed on here is how Payet ended up at West Ham in the first place.

According to The Guardian, they are now willing to take £30m from Marseille for Payet. They wanted £40m earlier in the week and claimed he wasn't for sale.

So talk of him rejecting moves to China and taking a huge paycut in hope of returning to France.

It's a shame he personally has handled it so poorly otherwise I may actually sympathise with him, a little ...

Talks of promises made to him in order to sign originally and again in the summer not kept.  I can believe the porn twins promised him the world as they are moving to the next level with "an iconic stadium tm" in the end they bought ZaZa on loan and Ayew on the never never.

Morning, bring back your Payet shirt to any of the club shops & you will get a new replacement for £25, full details on WHU web site today.

They're not stupid are they? They know how many people will have Payet shirts considering he's the only decent attacking player they have/had. Another £25 on top of the original cost and they're laughing all the way to the bank.

Usually I'd put it under kid gesture but not with West Ham.

Def not a kind gesture as even at £25 they'll be making a profit, let alone the profit made on the previous shirt sale!

Ye, makes them look good but is actually just making people waste more money. I bet most of them go and get another player that moves on soon!

I loved a comment on twitter, some guy saying how grown men deserve to lose money for getting Payet on the back of a replica, he claimed "If you are going to wear a replica, get it blank..... or Noble on the back"  ;D

On top of the profit for Payet. £10 would have been fair enough.

Shirts are for sale for £38 anyway, i'd be absolutely fuming if our club did that

The shirt will be out of dates in 4 months time, it's just a trick to try make a quick buck rather than a genuine apology to fans for their best player leaving

But some people only buy a new shirt every few years, maybe less frequently, so for those who bought a Payet shirt in the summer following his new contract and Euro 2016 performances, it's an OK offer.

Nobody's forcing them into anything.

Well the club doesn't owe the fans an apology for selling a player for more than double what they paid for him despite him refusing to play for the club...I don't recall an official apology from LFC after Suarez went to Barca.

And nobody forced grown men to spend $90 on a Payet kit in the first place and nobody is forcing them to return it and spend some more money on another kit.

Probably over ordered the kits for this season so now need to offload them for a cut price. It's a good bit of marketing, that. Lord Sugar will be patting Karren Brady on the head for that one.

9 goals conceded in just 2 matches vs City at home. Team and Bilic totally clueless. Tons of space for City to take advantage of every other attack.

A West Ham season ticket holder received a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to manslaughter. After the Arsenal match in December, two friends who have known each other for 14 years got into an argument. The deceased went into a pub for a pint and was followed in.The single punch to his head resulted in the brain haemorrhage.

I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

I'd be really interested to see what direction these go in the summer. The beginning of last summer was all talk. They couldn't even manage to get a player like Benteke. Last summer's transfers were large shite. Their recruitment at the moment seems to be all about bringing in players in their mid-twenties and older, who seem to either be ridiculously injury-prone (i.e. Snodgrass, Carroll), in decline (Fonte, Arbeloa) or unable to reach early expectations (Feghouli). Even with Fonte, they struggle to defend. And their striking options, when not injured, aren't the most reliable. I'd be absolutely stunned, if they don't make a bid for Sturridge in summer. Then again, the links to them being interested in Rooney and Wilshire pretty much sums them up.

I fully expect Macini to be manager come the start of next season.

And I think that is partly for recruitment. They made fools of themselves in the summer, boasting about how much cash they had and bids they were making for various players and they massively failed to deliver. Like ourselves, it's time they focused on signing fit, non-injury prone players. But the lure of being able to attract a Sturridge or maybe even a Wilshere will be too much for them, and they will fall into the same trap. Not that both of those players wouldn't be massive upgrades on what they have, but injuries have haunted them this season possibly more than any other club.

What a shambles to make a decision based on two bloody games. if he goes he should go because of the entire season not because of whatever performance against us and Spurs.

They're becoming the Newcastle of London [in terms of management and board decisions]
