Where's that Lazar lad..............at least he won't be able to post until the next game thread opens!
Is he really a red or just some random Serbian? I don't like him either way.

Where was Emre Can today?

That was a complete team performance. Solid allover. You could see it from the off. First 20 mins of the second half was just full on. Boro could not get a sniff of the ball and hardly got out of their own half.

Wobble over.

Pleasure to watch and never looked like they were getting anything all game.

Going to be hard for Sturridge to get back in the side. Origi fits in so naturally at the front of our attack.

No it's not.

Sturridge was ahead of Origi before he got injured... again.

so? things change.. a prolific Origi wouldn't be dropped for a returning Sturridge, a guy who wasn't making the team when 'fit'

in case you hadn't noticed we play our form players.

Who was it on here that said Klopp needs a plan B?

3-0. Clean sheet. Normality restored. We're dead good when we don't make daft mistakes. Park the bus wankers can fuck off and all.
I thought he kinda did use a plan b when we started playing more direct in the second half...

Missed the game tonight but just watched the highlights, they showed a lot of one and two touch passing. Really good to see that again, the 2nd goal was a brilliant example of what we can do. Great result all things considered.

Great win, Klavan and Origi did an excellent job filling in. Avoided a genuine slump in form and was probably Lallana's best game for us.

I never worry about our attack any more i know the goals will come and from more than one player. Im just as happy with the clean sheet for migs and klavan who came in and we're very solid.

Get in there, much needed 3 points, tough place to play, against a difficult opponent, 3 goals a cleansheet and back in 2nd place.

There have been many great goals this season, but I must have watched that 2nd one more than any of them.

Read an article on this forum not long ago how they constantly practice three one touch passes in a row to open the forward, that must have been it to a tee.

Mane is gonna be a big miss when he goes the afcon. Not really got anyone else like him and I wouldn't want to see Lallana moved out there with him playing so well right now in a position which he nailed down. Maybe Ojo could be an option?

I could only get a stream for the second half, and we were extremely dominant.

Boro weren't great though.  Defended ok, but quite toothless upfront and in midfield.

With Klopp saying we might look at offensive reinforcements for Mane's absence in January, I wonder if we rate Adama Traore. Very Mane-lite performance from him yesterday.

I was thinking the same thing. Always a bit nervous about signing players on the basis of a good performance against us (I'm sure we wouldn't). How's he been doing? Has anyone been watching any other Middlesbrough games?

He's stood out in highlights but always hard to know without watching full games. Was interesting to hear Klopp talking about the effort required to keep him specifically quiet.

I know he took a lot of stick on here for going to ground too easily but if we want that type of player to cover for Mane he would be an obvious choice.
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

only 8 pages? We must have been good then!

Unfortunately missed the match but will look for a replay of it to watch back today..

Very happy with the 3 points!! I hear Lallana was fantastic, Origi too....very good stuff

Gotta admit I was surprised Karius was dropped for Migs. But to be honest, whoever starts I just hope for the best now.....want Karius to come back strong after this. He's not the first player this has happened to and won't be the last.

Anyway! build on this redmen.....on to the bitters

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka: "We have to remember how good we've been in the games before this, against Bournemouth and Hull City.
I think they were the best team we've faced this season.

I appreciate you can't really get better than a comment like that from someone associated with Boro (their manager) but we were talking to a few stewards after the game and they were adamant Liverpool were MILES the best side they had faced this season. :)
