We shouldn't underestimate any opposition mate.

Palace are actually decent and can easily cause us problems. Zaha has been in excellent form and Benteke as well. They certainly pose a threat going forward, especially their wingers who will look to swing in crosses for Benteke and/or constantly hoof it up to him. If we maintain the same level of quality and grittiness as our previous two matches we can take all 3 points, but again it will come down to cutting off Benteke's supply.

Aye they are a threat that's why I gave them them 1.

last 7 games against them - won 3, lost 3, drawn 1......add the Allardyce factor and its clear it'll be tighter than Russell Grant's undies on Boxing Day........I'll be ecstatic with a single, scrappy late winner
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

While it will be a tough game Allardyce is always keen to beat us, totally believe in the dertermination and fight this group of players are showing. Despite all the setbacks, the injuries we have come through some tricky games. Not going to doubt them now. We need an early goal if we get that 3-1, if not we'll snatch one at the end. Come on Reds show your mettle, lets get the hatrick.  :scarf

And aladici has got beef with r Jurgen.  I am sure that going to motivate his team.

What's the latest on the availability of Matip, Klavan, Lucas and Sturridge?
The Echo have just tweeted that Sturridge won't be in the squad after missing several training sessions this week.

We're due a win against these at Anfield. Just like we were due a win playing away from home against a Tony Pulis side last week.

Believe people. We've got this.  8)

Here's hoping then - light training isn't as hopeful as full training, but it's better than no training :D We need a reliable defence in the run out more than anything else (isn't that the story of our season?)

Firmino did light training last week and still played. So, like you said, here's hoping.

Be interesting to see how we approach this game. Get at them early whilst they are getting used to the absence of Sakho and risk giving them opportunities on the counter or have a more pragmatic approach and look to go for control and be more patient.

There are going to be nerves today. Anfield will be quiet, at times. This is exactly the kind of fixture we have been messing up for years. To add to it, Palace are the third most in form team.

Our last two games were victories against similar teams, even if we have to grind out an ugly win I think we have quite a good chance here. Also, a lot of their form has relied on Sakho and Dann, neither of whom are playing.

No. You're right we shouldn't. Hopefully Utd winning(as it stands) will make us more determined than ever to make sure we win ourselves.

It is the type of game we've bottled in the past.

Good thing for us though is - The past doesn't determine the future.

The sky is falling because they are winning at Burnley. There is zero chance that they will drop points at City, Arsenal, Spurs or Southampton.

Yes, you read that right - they are all away games!

So United is likely to get all 3 points tonight, we need to win ours to keep ahead of them. Again, if we don't win against Palace at home we don't deserve top four anyway.
