Special thanks to Hazell for stopping me from picking that Manc prick Keane    Always loved Vieira. First time I've ever drafted him too! Shame he had to have that last money spinning stint at City. Still, not too bothered about losing them.

Was deciding between Keane and Vieira actually. Went for Keane because he's one of very few not completely detestable Manc players and it still gives me the option of picking Arsenal and Man City players. But yeah, it was a close call.

Love might be a bit strong!    But I certainly don't mind him these days. I do think Vieira was a more talented player, though Keane had a drive and 'spite' in him that few players have ever had in the game. Others include Best, Souness, Maradona, and Suarez.

Yeah true, I do love his quotes though. He popped up a week ago and dismissed Utd's unbeaten record. I'd take Keane every day over Vieira but my Irish family might have a bit to do with that

Oh, that changes things! Was everyone aware that’s how we’re judging it? Personally I don’t really mind as C. Ronaldo was even better after leaving the Premier League, but a few others might be a bit annoyed if they’ve picked on PL form alone.

I personally think they should be judged on their PL careers, if that wasn't the case you could pick the likes of Desailly, Weah, Shevchenko and others who were washed up when they came into the league and didn't have that much of an impact on the league.

I thought it was pretty much a given that we would be judging them for their PL careers. What is the point in making a specific PL era draft when you can you judge them outside of that era or league legacy?

I put those players as examples of great players who didn't do much on their time in the league.

It's a relatively moot point anyway, as there are only a small number of players whose careers were absolutely stellar outside of the prem that failed to impact it significantly when they were here.

Wouldn't be fair to change it now, as no way Zlatan would have been picked this early, for example.
