On 20 August, Sessegnon scored his first professional goal in a league match against Cardiff City, becoming the first professional footballer in the English leagues to have been born in the 2000s to score a goal in a first team game and the youngest player ever to have scored in a Championship match.

Nope. That Sessegnon was from Benin, this one is from West London.

Two goals away to Newcastle for young Ryan. wanted to take a penalty to complete his hatty and idiot took the ball off him and missed.

Still 16 years old, turns 17 in May. looks like the complete wingback/winger, wouldn't be surprised if he made a Gareth Bale like transition as he got older.

Composure in front of goal like that from a 16-year-old left-back makes him look like a generational talent.

Don't watch Fulham enough to know what his defending is like but given our general lack of left footers and preference for buying youth, we'd be mad not to be in for him. He looks the real deal.

Given our current LB situation he could well be persuaded to come to us.

A season as understudy to Milner, getting a decent amount of game time, then looking to take over the role the year after, would be pretty good career development.

This. I think we could be a great option for him. If he has the talent and proves himself during that season then I can't see why he wouldn't be our first option at the end of that season or the next. Sure if Man City lures him to their with money, match time and more likelihood for titles then we might not be his first choice.

What would be more sensible if we were to bring him in, would be to loan him out for a season if he wants first team action, as we'll be buying a left back for Moreno this summer, and going into next season with a dependable, rested, older deputy/occassional starter in Milner to share the workload.

Milner should not be sharing any workload for left back next season. If he doesn't return to being a midfield option next season then that's a massive oversight on the club's part.

I'd think it far more of an oversight if he was considered for the midfield. We've already got 2 central midfielders who can slow the game down to crawl and have limited creativity. I like Milner, but he stifles a midfield, I don't want him anywhere near ours.

He's a right midfielder, he should be filling in some games on the right side when one of the others is injured.

Milner is not a left back, that's becoming more painfully obvious as the season goes on.

We tried him in midfield, it was shite. He's had far more good games at fullback than he has in the middle for us.

Indeed. His form seems to be down to being asked to play a lot of games and do a lot of running - having a decent understudy who can shoulder some of that game time next season should help this.

I didn't say in the middle, I said right midfield.

Those good games he's having at full back are becoming few and far between as the season goes on. Teams are targeting him, there's a massive gap every game down the left side of the defense, which is also partly due to Klavan and Lucas. He also moved up just before the ball fell to Lowton at the end of the game, giving him the space to have a shot.

Not to mention he offers less going forward than Clyne these days. This is a player who got 14 assists last season. If he's still starting regularly at left back next season then something has gone horribly wrong.
