He's one of only a small number of players we have who are worthy of playing regularly for a top 4 side. He can stay at Liverpool for many years to come
I'm quite amazed he didn't end up at a top 4 club.
I for one welcome our new insect overloads

Top signing, definitely a quality player.

I don't like the propensity on here to overhype/criticise a player so early but this guy is someone who made too much sense when we were ;inked and is so far making too much sense as a signing

He really looks like he can be here for a while. Could play in the first team for any team in this league

So, so, so happy we have him. One of our best buys over the recent past. Potentially our best defensive buy in a while too (Sakho could prove to provide competition for that one).

Got some serious defensive chops and one who has a huge calming influence on those around him. Never really watched him at Southampton so don't know if this is old news but he's also got a serious turn of pace on him. Burnt some Bournemouth's defenders for pace a couple of times tonight.

What the fuck is this, a competent defender? Nay, a genuinely very good one?!

I don't even think he's playing as well as he can and he's still a fucking machine, absolutely everywhere out there. Seems a strange comment to make since he scored a goal but I think the attacking side of his game could use work, but I think it'll come with time. Will be a mainstay in our team for years now you'd expect.

I posted this at half time

Clyne must be some pain in the bollocks to play against. One minute he's up the pitch and the wide man has time, then BAM, the ball is taken off him. His pace is incredible.

Seems a strange comment to make since he scored a goal but I think the attacking side of his game could use work, but I think it'll come with time.
I think it's primarily his decision making. Made the right one tonight though :P

Been a fixture in the team in a busy period but was still beating their whole right side with a lung-busting run late on

I will make very angry comments and look very angry if we play him into injury, the man's a star.

Clyne and Moreno two very good full backs. Room to improve but both worthy of the shirt.

Two incredible athletes. Both are exceptionally fast and can run all day. Both have lots of scope for improvement, Clyne offensively more than defensively and Moreno the other way around but they are two very important players for us.

I like this player, he is solid and reliable, bit like Johnson on a good day with no chance of brain farts. Well in Nathaniel, playing out of position yesterday as well and still scored the winner. Very good signing.

Defensively very solid but no where near Johnson's level (under Rafa) in an attacking sense.

He's mustard. So solid and reliable. His attacking game needs a little work but it's not a massive issue as long as he can get in the dangerous positions and deliver in some quality, then he doesn't need to be skinning 2-3 men for us to be threatening down that side.

Best buy of the summer for me.

Don't think for a mo that I keep posting/resurrecting in here in some sort of 'it's my thread' way - It isn't. Klopp should show Moreno how a player concentrates and performs for 90 minute with guile and composure, and all this from a 24 year old, modest, humble, focused right back. How refreshing is that?

If they all played with the attention to detail that this lad does, we'd win the league.

For me, he should be the next Liverpool captain.

Moreno is an odd player. His lack of any defensive responsibility for the goal was criminal. But after that there was a couple of occasions when Chelsea were countering us and Moreno was +20-yards behind the player but he used his pace to get back and make a vital tackle or toe poke.

It does seem that Clyne and Moreno are very different full-backs. Clyne is far more attentive and disciplined in his defensive work.

gives a 100% each game, if not more. quality signing this. i hope he keeps developing his game under Klopp, can see him getting better and better especially when young Flanagan recovers introduces some extra competition. i think our fullback situation looks very promising in Clyne, Flanagan, Moreno, Gomez.

not my position to tell him what to do, but i hope Klopp rests Clyne for the Europa game.
