Great to see Burton beating Birmingham today, really hope they stay up.
I've just wiped the sticky residue from my bellend onto the television screen. Taste it Leo. You deserve it.
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

What a mistake Birmingham made getting rid of Rowett by the way.

Knew the Zola appointment would be a horrendous descion, he's doing worse than even though he would do.

Has he even won a game yet  ???
Just as i've written that, he's left them

Was a disastrous appointment from start to finish.

Congratulations to Brighton. The city was alive tonight.

Not least as the players got the train back to the city centre with the fans and were singing and drinking with them.

Better appointment then Zola, at least Redknapp knows the league and has vast amounts of experience coaching in it.

Was pretty crazy in Brighton last night - players came back to the city centre on the train with the fans then partied with them into the wee hours...

Poor Birmingham - they get rid of Rowett - a quality young manager who had assembled an inexpensive squad to compete in the Championship, and was doing well for them (7th place at the time of his dismissal - 9 wins, 7 draws, 5 losses).

Then fire him and get Zola in - who leaves with Blues 3pts off relegation, with 3 games of the season to go, having only won 2 matches in 24 (a win record of 8.33%).

Now they get in Harry - which is weird in itself - as the Blues owners don't like spending much money, and Harry seemingly can't manage without it (or with it, over time).

The 3 remaining matches for Birmingham...

away at Villa
home vs Huddersfield
away vs Bristol City

Zola is such a bad manager, I have never been so baffled by a managerial appointment in my life!

After Brighton secured promotion to the Premier League, their players took the train back to the city centre with the fans and did some crowd surfing along the way ;D. Looking forward to another good footballing side being in the Prem. It'll be interesting to see how Knockaert performs.

Fair play to Brighton and Chris Hughton who I've always had time for personally.

That said, I can remember going to the fucking Goldstone Ground and getting turned over. Proper hoodoo side they were, so let's hope that does not happen next term!

And mention to Portsmouth as well - gone through hell and back with shite management, but my in-laws are from that area and it's good to see them get something good for a change happen to them.

The most important people at Liverpool Football Club are the people who want to be here

I know a bit about Brighton story, the then loathed owner controversially sold the Goldstone Ground to pay off debts, with no replacement ground, Brighton exiled to Gillingham for a couple of seasons, & amonst that backdrop ended up nearly out of the Football League, had to get a point away at Hereford on the final day, Brighton got a 1-1 draw & stayed up, Hereford went down. When Brighton returned to Brighton, they then had to play at the Athletics stadium which was totally unsuitable for the Football League, as took so long to build there current stadium because of all the planning inquiries the stadium development went through, then had to go through the Government.

As for Birmingham, bonkers to sack Rowett, they were only 3 points off the playoffs at the time, deserved what they got after that decision.

They had to play at Gillingham? Fuck me that's closer to me than it is to Brighton and I'm in Colchester  ;D

Hope they stay up next season.

The nearest ground to Brighton at the time would have been Selhurst Park, & no way Brighton would have a ground share with Palace, considering Palace are Brighton's rivals, there was an option of sharing with Portsmouth which i think is slightly nearer than Gillingham[at least on the same railway line], but Brighton ended up at Gillingham, there was a lot of shit going on at the time mainly because of the way the then owner ran the club.

Was mates with a couple of Brighton fans at uni. Can remember them going to the final game of the season in 96/97 which they had to draw to stay in the Football League. They drew at Hereford and stayed up, Hereford went down.  Amazing rise really, similar to Swansea in a way. Good luck to them.

Two own goals?! How's he managed that? Punched them in, or the classic off the post and back off the keeper. What does he need to get the perfect hat trick second half?

One off the crossbar and in back off him, the other off the post and back off him again. I suppose a perfect third one would be back off both posts, his head and then into the goal.

Burton wont be safe today if the scores stay as they are, Blackburn would be 6 points behind Burton, with only a couple of goals in the GD, Burton need Wolves to score & win & Burton to hold on to be safe.

True, being 6 points clear with two games left is pretty damn close though.

Strange signing, he seems shit now. A lot of their fans seem unhappy unsurprisingly.
