I'm not sure about that, I've lost to them in two semi finals.
But it is the goals/assists I'm talking about. I've got Bale, Lewandowski, Aubameyang and Morata, all proven goalscorers yet they have 21 goals between them in over 90 appearances. Then I have Fabregas, 103 assists to his name in real life yet just one for us all season.
I think we're kind of saying the same thing in different ways.
Bale, Lewa, Auba, Fabregas' ratings (leaving Morata out as he's only 91) will be beneficial to you more often than not, but the benefit will be spread throughout the team, ie CBs getting assists, LBs scoring braces.
In saying that I do wish players would have individual attributes. Passing, shooting, pace, technique etc. Would certainly make the game more interesting.
I was in a play-by-mail years ago, around 93/94 time, where my outstanding player was Neil Shipperley. He was rated much lower overall than my star players Jean Pierre Papin and Gavin Peacock(!) but had the absolute
perfect attributes to play left-wing, which none of my other players had. Made it really interesting trying to cobble together a team because it wasn't just about the players overall rating. (That and having to phone managers to make transfers). SM could do with a bit of that detail. If it was possible in 1994 it must be possible in 2017!
