Whoever honestly thinks Rooney is better than Messi needs to have their head chopped off.
that's not possible. To be at that level you need to be Argentinian or Brazilian.

Best we can hope for against him is defend the space in behind but just work hard and close him down all the time. He is so good that he will beat players for fun but its all about trying to limit his impact on the game.

Play 3 left backs and 3 holding midfielders and then you might just be able to stop him getting a 6th touch on the ball

the problem is, he can skin 3 players in the space of 5 yards.

Silvestre might not play..

Song could fill in at CB and Diaby goes into midfield which i would not mind.

Absolutely ridiculous player, out of this world, from another planet.

Can't find a superlative that would be fitting for him, the form he's in at present.

Defenders just bounce off him and he has an unbelievable turn of pace, once he's in full flight he's just unstoppable.

Spent the whole 90 minutes in awe, sublime, a joy to watch.

Went to the local boozer to watch the game, and arrived just after Barca's first. I was the only person watching, other than the barman who was fucked off cos he had to turn away from the screen half the time and missed every goal/incident.

I was out of my seat at the second goal and at the dribble for the penalty. What a player!? It was a privilege to see that.

No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

34 goals in 38 matches. Barring injury or rest, a minimum of 13 more matches, with a maximum of 15. On this form he could reach 50 goals!
