Tremendous second half, killed the game in 20 minutes, such a big improvement.

Great tactic change by Klopp exploiting the space in behind, so many teams are stopping that central space that we should be exploiting that more.
Yip- that was the game-changer second half. Klopp taking the reigns.
Like the fact we mixed it up a bit with some long balls. We had just the right 'balance' between going long and knocking it down, to playing it on the deck.

How's that for a plan B?

Could have had 6 or 7 easily

It's clicking nicely, but if it truly clicks one game then we'll make Watford and Hull seem tame.

Hopefully origi injury isn't nothing too serious

It might not even be an injury, he sat on the bench and seemed fine, he was most likely just anxious - after all, he's in great form.

Somone should name and shame them in this thread! We had a couple of rough games in a season where we've been fucking awesome, and it's now over.

Moaning about your own fans when you've won? C'mon. Get a grip.

I'm happy to admit I thought they'd frustrate us. Even happier to find out I was wrong. There's nothing wrong with thinking you're not going to win the game. It's an opinion.

Now start supporting the team instead of whinging. You should be happy.

Great win that. No one has outclassed them like that this season and we did it in "awful form" with our "crap squad depth". Not bad!

Our fans in spectacular voice from the off. It's still there, somewhere, we just don't see it as much as we'd like any more.

Absolutely suberb stuff from the Traveling Kop tonight. Imagine 51.000 more of them at Anfield every game!

Fantastic performance by the team. That second half, with special mention to the second goal, was pure sex.

Now someone fuckin insert Kloppo's BOOM gif, please  ;D

Second half was so so much better... not the brilliance of a month or so back, but much more like it. Very very pleasing... had almost begun to forget what we looked like... so a nice, much needed timely reminder of what we can do.

Wasn't sure if I wanted a clean sheet more than a 4th at the end there... I started to get greedy and wanted both, but clean sheets are so good. And hats off Simon Mignolet, who from the off brought solidity, some authority, and some fine saves... and I didn't think I'd say that again. Been an absolute horror show the last few weeks between the sticks. The save where it glanced off Milners leg from Traore was probably a game changer. In my head it was anyway. Brilliant save. That's what you want your keeper to do.

Was also good to see the front 3 switch around a bit... all 3 seem capable in various ways to do so. Some fine goals, could have been more - so a really good way to bury this bogey ground of hours in fine fashion. Great stuff.

Best moment tho was hearing some applause from around the ground during the Justice chant... that was unexpected and genuinely quite moving.

Bit scrappy first half but schooled them second half.

Good performances all over the field and excellent tactics second half.

Just what we needed before the Derby.

Special mention for James Milner.

Unreal performance playing aginst arguably the fastest player in the league.

Fantastic on the ball, solid defensively. If it wasn't for Lallana he'd be my MOTM.

Outstanding.

I have to admit I feared that the Mane shot in the first half, which hit the post, might have been one of "those" moments.

I needn't have worried. The second goal was just wonderful, and from then on we controlled the game. Migs was very secure. Well done big Jurgen.

I'm starting to prefer it when we don't score a goal in the first few minutes because we then seem to play poetry in motion for the duration but end up with FO. I thought tonight was ugly for a short while, (although my stream kept going down so I can't take a proper view) but didn't mind too much as we looked comfortable and didn't look like conceding. Had a good feeling fairly on about it.

Can't wait to crack a few beers open on Monday, wish I had a ticket and Chelsea will have a bad run soon.

Yeah.

Klavan deserves a mention in that as well, cause him and Milner did a real job on him.
Klavan was always around to step in if he got the better of James.

I said before the game that I'm not fussed Matip is out- as long as we got Klavan next to Lovren, I'm a happy camper.
As for Boro..:

It's usual for a win, if we lose then we get about twenty pages in the same time, usually full of people scapegoating certain players or writing off our chances of winning the title/getting top four.

Added to that Firmino hasn't been nowhere as good as he has been this season in these games. Origi and Mane are still doing their things but if we find a way to get Firmino more involved than Phil can take his time to heal properly.

Very good all round performance - is that our first win in the highlighter shirts? Lallana was terrific, as was the entire back five. It could simply have to do with Middlesbrough being weak going forward but the difference between Mignolet and Karius felt like night and day. That save from Fischer was excellent but I really liked how when it went to a corner straight afterwards, Mignolet gave the Boro player trying to block him off a good push forward. I don't know if he's going to be the long term choice but we definitely need someone who has that authority in the box.

The only place it seemed things didn't click was in attack, which is strange to say in a 3-0 win, but it felt like we lacked some fluency up front compared to when Coutinho is in the team. Mane ran their defence ragged but he couldn't seem to put it away, it's a good thing Lallana's found his shooting boots. Special mention to Origi too, five in five is it now?

That second goal was something I want to see a lot more of.

One problem we've had is that either our play is constantly fast or constantly slow, picking that opportunity to go from slow possession to everyone accelerating the play as a team is something very few sides are able to do.

Those quick interchanges, combined with the balls in behind, will stop teams nullifying us by packing the centre, hopefully we see more of it.
