This has probably been mentioned but watched the game back yesterday and Steve McMananan said something towards the end that made me laugh.

There was one occasion when Costa ran into the box with the ball and McMananan said 'they don't want to touch him because he's bigger and stronger than all of them'

No Steve, they don't want to touch him because he'll fall to the ground screaming and the ref will give a penalty

 ;D
What a stupid thing to say.

Yeah I remembered laughing at that too, as if he was suggesting they were scared of him lol.
To be fair he'd probably laugh at that now himself, got a bit over excited

I need clarification on the penalty and the rules that surround awarding one because it seems a lot of people in here assume contact = penalty?
Where is the line drawn? For example what if say, Matip's knee brushes Costa's thigh as hes running through the box, the contact can barely be felt but its there and Costa falls down. This is now a penalty?

Definite improvement in our performance but agree with the comments that we need to increase our gamesmanship.

Lost a lot of that when Luis left.

Yeah, Adam Johnson scored his last goal in professional football.

So far we have - David Luiz, David Beckham, Jason Puncheon, Dmitri Payet and Adam Johnson.

Two more needed.

That aurelio goal?

It seems like he's trying not to appear biased toward us, so he gushes in his praise for the opposition.

He was a boyhood Everton fan, and I have always suspected he is still one now deep down. But it would just be nice to listen to a game without an ex-Red there to be honest. That is why I usually turn the sound down on the commentary.

Got the winner at Anfield a couple of years ago. And did he scored in our win their this season. If so that's two in a maximum of 8 games (6 in the League and the League Cup semi), not sure if he played in the home game against them late last season?

Yeah you're right mate, just sick of always being on the recieving end of such foul play, in a time where cheats prosper.
I know mate. Sickening how other teams get away with shit everytime they seem to play against us.

"A fool does not delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own mind."
In such a sumptuous festival of shite, I wouldn't be so quick to pick a winner..

But he'd make the shortlist

Ah sorry thought it was at Anfield.

I didn't think the stat differentiated between scoring for or against LFC. Could've read it wrong.
