I'm in Spain that morning, wondering if to risk trying to make the game with 90 mins between landing and kick off or just go home and watch it.  :-\

Any delay and you'd be screwed basically. Even then your relying on getting your bags etc too before being able to drop them somewhere and head to Eastlands.

Landing in Manc, need to stash my bag (probably just hand luggage) and then would be sat in their end. A lot of arsing about but hopefully worth it should it all come off.

1 Whole year of European nights stuffed into one game at Anfield. The King at the helm, a glorious weekday night.... being deadly serious City will have never ever in their history experienced an atmosphere like it. Could seriously scare the shit out of them.
Even though it is the league cup, return leg matches under the lights at Anfield are becoming all too scarce these days. Fully expect we'll get it rocking enough to rattle a few knees. Of the remaining four teams, City will easily have the most difficult draw.
Just wish we could all make it :(
I think this was 2001, in the Texas state legislature, they were trying to outlaw sodomy, while at the SAME time, trying to repeal the law against bestiality.
So potentially, you couldn't make love in the privacy of your own home, but you'd be able to go down to the local pound & have a good ol LEGAL Texas style dawg fuckin!

So Yaya Toure won't be playing in both legs, as he'll be away for the Africa nations cup, no?

Well put it this way, I fucking hope so as he is a massive player for them - their fans won't admit it but they'll miss him.

You know what I don't care if lose to them in the league match leading up to the two CC semi final legs -as long as we put in a respectable performance, it will just lead to them under estimating us and going into it with a more casual mindset -personally losing 1-0 in a caging affair -which it most likely will be, could actually be a good thing -well it would be a bad thing and won't change our chances of knocking them out of the CC..

Im just throwing it out there: maybe something like the Spurs game in Rafa's last season should be arranged for the home leg. When the fans gave the team bus a huge guard of honour and showed them how proud of them we really are. I reckon it'd fire them right up. Pepe said it did for that Spurs game.
Let us never forget Rafael Benitez and what he did for us. A fighter full of guts and passion. A gentleman full of class and dignity. A football manager full of intelligence and pure genius. A Legend.
Adios Rafa, buena suerte.

Yes we should aim to do that I agree, what I'm saying is a long as we put in a respectable performance against them in the league match leading up to the two -which are away and then at home, CC semi final legs... I'm content -even if that means a 1-0 defeat, and it won't change the fact we're going to give them one hell of a run for their money, hopefully knocking them out of the CC...

Don't understand this talk about having a draw at their place and beat them at Anfield. We'll beat them at their place and at ours!!
Whatever an education is, it should make you a unique individual, not a conformist; it should furnish you with an original spirit to tackle big challenges; it should allow you to find values to road map through life; it should make you spiritually rich, a person who loves whatever you are doing, wherever you are.

And if you truly believe that more power to you but realistically beating them twice over both legs is unlikely -well not easy- unless they play shite.

If we can go by what they did at Arsenal.. They didn't really look arsed. But whatever team City plays is a quality team at the moment.

Absolutey stunning draw, they have to go for it against Utd, just have to, meaning surely they won't go out against us with their 100% best team, whilst we can afford to play a weaker team and be nice and fresh for the first leg.

be even better if the city v manc game is a draw after extra time,  ha ha,

The first game of any FA cup fixture, before the semi-finals or the final does not go into extra-time, rather you have a replay and then extra time if need be.
You hope they'd draw the first game and then into goes to a replay at the toilet. The potential for a fixture pile-up is beyond comprehension for City, coupled with losing some key players for the African Cup of Nations.
However, let them bring on their best team and we will do the same, confident we can do them over 2 legs especially with the final game at Anfield.
We'll visit the Folies Bergeres,
They like to see the Scousers there,
The women are lovely with skin like a peach,
But no one can move it like Kenny Dalglish.

Damn right mate!! Lets just fuckin beat this lot! We're a long way behind them in the league and it may take a couple of seasons to get to a point of challenging for the title, but if we win a trophy this year (in Kennys 1st full yr in charge!), it will send a real message of intent that we're back, and if we can add top 4 to that, it will possibly be the perfect season and set us up to have a very interesting summer indeed.

1 game at a time starting tomorrow.....
We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

Just reading blue moon..

Most of them seem to think Yaya's last game before he leaves for the Africa Cup of Nations, will be the FA Cup fixture against the scum.

Also, don't clubs have to release players 14 days before comp starts unless there are good reason.

City won't have Kolo Toure and Yaya Toure either. They've still got an extraordinary first team and squad they will be missed in that busy period, especially the latter.

Does anyone know what the date of any replay would be if city and Utd drew their FA cup tie?
