It makes you think that the SFA did in fact seek to do a quick whitewash job on Meekings for the sake of making it look as if they were doing something. If so they spectacularly misjudged things. They stirred up a hornets nest.

It`s either that or they backed down given the opinion of the general public.

Either way they look weak and incompetent.

Dangerous Territory here.

Incident was seen by refereeing team and therefore the SFA did not have the authority to suspend Josh Meekings.

However there is precident for when Livi's Jason Talbot was booked for a high challenge on Sam Nicholson and then retrospectively banned.

The SPFL might have a sponsor next season. I shall believe it when they have one.

Could have had one 4 years ago if certain people in Hampden (and I am not talking Queens Park!) had not undervalued the league. Ditto a decent TV deal..

So Celtic won the SPL after Aberdeen lost tonight.

Delighted for my fellow Norwegian, Ronny Deila. Cup and league in his first season in charge!

Delighted for my fellow Norwegian, Ronny Deila. Cup and league in his first season in charge!

I am absolutely delighted for him in particular.  Rough start to the season with a horrendous pre-season schedule he inherited, could do nothing about and did not want.  He hasn't been slow to hide the fact he has made it clear he doesn't want that for us again this summer.

The man just talks a lot of sense.

worth a watch - Ronny Deila speaking at a conference
Saw this on KDS.  Video is in Norwegian with English subtitles.

I believe patience is still going to be required. He still lacks experience in terms of european football, but the way we acquitted ourselves against Inter Milan highlighted our progression from earlier in the season.  Some players beginning to look tired and given the tempo Ronny wants us playing at and effort he rightly demands, that is no surprise.

Whether or not he was initially intended to be manager, he now is and he deserves to be backed by the board and the fans.

Well done, Helen, on coming right back up.

This!
Also a promoted Rangers will hemorrage even more money than they already are. £1.5 million loans are lasting 1 month At the moment. They have been relying on loans for day-to-day expenses for the best part of the last 18 months. Dave King has already said that the wage bill needs to be at least trebled if not quadrupled (depending on what Celtic does) upon promotion. Add in half a million to Newcastle for the loan deals.

Sounds like you really don't know Scottish Football.
I could have sworn Celtic were still in the SPL...
You know I was pretty sure about that as well.

Also by rights Rangers SHOULD be in either the South of Scotland League or East of Scotland league at the very best, Juniors at the worst like other failed clubs such as Gretna.

Apparently. All that money spent on the new club and they are really, really bad.

Miles Brookson was more successful in raising a new club to the top league via dubious funding.

Well in to Caley Thistle - great season for them - can't believe they only average 3700 for home games, goes to prove how effective supposedly 'smaller' clubs can be.

Good luck to Motherwell in the playoff today too.
