Why is Paul Merson being discussed on a CL topic. Glen Johnson described him best saying he won't care about a former drug addict opinions.

Did he really try to justify the PL as being a better league than La Liga because nobody tried to foul Messi when he scored the second goal the other night? That's how it appeared to me. That in the PL someone would have scythed him down.
Merson logic: Cynical fouling = better league.

He actually said something along the lines of "People telling me their league is better than ours, rubbish! Absolute rubbish!"

Like someone managed to successfully scythe Suarez when he did similar against the Mancs and Sunderland? Oh wait....

The RTE crowd said it best, how many players can you see going past 6 defenders and the best keeper in the world as easily as Messi did?

Ah, but could he do it on a rainy Wednesday night in Stoke?  ;D

To be fair, RTE say it's the foreign players that make the PL the "best in the world", nothing to do with the English players.

Merson "Hernandez will rip Barcelona apart"
He has to get the ball first.

Honestly someone could make a lot of money by making a DVD called "Paul Merson - mega gaffes" and watch the money roll in before having to make about 10 sequels just to fit it all in.

Even his wikipedia page has criticism on it - "Although outspoken on the show, Merson is most often wrong in his pre-match previews and predictions, which are posted as part of his column for the Sky Sports website." ;D

Messi is on a yellow isn't he?

To be fair, having been a drug addict doesn't actually mean you are mentally impaired in any way, or that your opinions are worthless. By all means ignore Merson's opinions as he talks shite, but don't lump the rest of the world's drug addicts in with a prick like him. :P (that goes for Glen too!)

Remember, Mourinho has found Barca out tactically, so this should be at least a 2-0 win for Real, taking the game in to extra time.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

Can't believe Messi was one of the players that Madrid lodged a complaint against yesterday, he was probably the only one doing nothing but playing football.

Todays is all in Barcas hand so can't see much changing on that front. Barca - United final by the looks of it.

Then Barcelona are still ahead and Real still have to attack and leave Messi all that lovely space.

I'm hoping for another 5-0 and El Cunto's ritual suicide on the touchline at full time.

Mourinho should begin paying back humanity for being a massive c*nt by starting a front six of Alonso, Özil, Kaka, Di Maria, Ronaldo and Benzema and telling them to attack like fuck.
They'll get raped all over the pitch but at least it'll be entertaining for the right reasons.

Schalke are actually in a better position than we were when we gave Chelse a massive fright a couple of years ago. The main difference though is that back then we were at the very least on a par with Chelsea and you can’t say the same this time. An early away goal could make things fun for a short while but I can see United just doing enough and getting through with the minimum fuss.
