Good luck & thank you Rickie Lambert
« on: July 31, 2015, 11:57:00 pm »
Most of us never get the chance to live out our dream. One man did, and his name is Rickie Lambert. Imagine the thrill he had to put on the red shirt, to wear the Liverbird upon his chest, to have Steven Gerrard hug him when he scored his first Liverpool goal. Rickie played hard for us, he tried his best, he never complained, he cheered on his teammates, and he represented us proudly.

Good luck to a true Red. YNWA Rickie. :scarf

Yeah, I echo your sentiments mate. Good luck big fella, lived the dream, scored in a red shirt, made a good life for himself and his family. He's a much better player than he showed here, and fitness permitting I can see him getting double figures for West Brom next year.

Echo this completely, great lad who will do well for west brom. That villa goal was one of the highlights of last season, and the celebration. He was proud as punch to represent the club and its a shame it didn't work out.

Good luck rickie!

Great lad, deserved a bit more time (especially in light of those 90th minute substitutions), still goals to flow from him yet. Let's see him stick it to Chelsea and United for us.

Doubt any real Liverpool fan has anything but affection for Rickie. Wish he'd had a few more glory moments for us. A winner against Utd or Everton or the like, to tell stories of into his old age, but I really hope he had a great season for West Brom and gets himself into the England squad for the Euros.

Sad to see him go, but for whatever reasons it wasn't working. But at least he got to live the dream for a season - more than most will. Good luck for the future!

True professional and always shown respect to the fans and club. Shame for him it didn't work out..but as stated he lived his boyhood dream. Wish him the best of luck at WBA, I predict he will do alot better over there.

Fair play to the lad as well just heard Tony Pulis say he's earning less money at West Brom too which is a measure of the man he is. He could easily have done a Borini, dug his heels in and pointed to his Liverpool contract and refuse to leave but he clearly just wants to play football.

Think he'll do well at WBA with a manager who will get the most out of him.

Top fella. Shame it didn't work out. Came in as a bargain buy, made sense at the time. Two goals in 7 first team starts was no disgrace but it just wasn't to be.

Good luck to him, hope he gets back amongst the goals for his new club, apart form when they play us of course. Cheers Ricky lad.

He may have been instrumental in Lallana's signing, and had Balo not been bought would've gotten some of his minutes as Plan B. (see Benteke?)

Good luck.

Thought he was given much of a chance but I am glad he got to live his dream.

I would of stayed for another year if I was Ricky though.

Think that would have been soul destroying for him, he knew he was behind Sturridge, Beneteke, Ings and Origi. Much better to be playing regularly than train all week then sit in the stands watching.

Best of luck at West Brom Ricky.

All the best.

For a professional footballer, this is one dream that was best off not happening. From a personal perspective, maybe he'll have some great memories to keep for life. We gained very little, don't put much of that on him, he's a backup striker, he did what he could, our attacking ideas last season weren't the best or most coherent.

Shame really, actually quite disappointed Brendan let him go, I think he would have been useful as part of our Europa League and Domestic cup squads. Still think he was trying a bit too hard last season, but no doubt he'll smash it under Pulis this season. Probably get 5 assists from Berahino alone (if he stays with them of course).

Anyway good luck to him.
