Welcome Christian! :wave

You can probably afford to buy some new jeans now. :P

Fair to say this one has polarised the fans probably more than any of our big money signings in recent years. However, now he is here, I am sure everyone will get right behind the lad and give him a fair chance. Not who I wanted to sign by a long shot but he definitely has his strengths and hopefully we will see Brendan's plan for him. 15-20 goals in his first season would be a good start.

Welcome to the best club in the world Christian, do the shirt proud!

He appears to have dropped some paint on his trousers...

...at least I hope it's paint.

Paint you say?  :-[

Potentially world class, one of the best around for his type. Here's hoping Rodgers makes us into a well functioning unit.

I have my doubts, but if it works we've got two very good goalscorers upfront again.

What a thoroughly shit first interview. Love him already.
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

And good riddance to him scoring against us when we play Villa!

The fee for him should nearly be justified just for the points we won't have to drop to Villa now!

Seriously, though, he's now our best penalty taker, with Balotelli likely leaving.

Also, no number? Looks like he has his eye on Lambert's '9.'

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but did the club make him do some painting? Hence the delay. Look at the state of them jeans.

Lets hope the pressure doesn't get too much for him and he hits the ground running!!

I think he'll bang in the goals for us!!

I'm delighted we've signed him and I think he'll do really well for us. He seems to be quiet and modest off the pitch and a beast on it, which is something I like in a player.

Any one that's got an issue with the fee needs to bury their caution, I think we're buying better than our other "big" strikers over the last 20 years and although I was very uncertain during the last few weeks I'm now extremely optimistic. We have to regard the fee as irrelevant and contextualise all transfers this Summer.
I'd certainly rather be entering the season with him than without him. I'm positive he'll be a contributing addition - unlike other strikers we've got on our books. He adds dimension, power, height and a genuine bullying ability that we've lacked recently albeit we didn't need it when we had Suarez.

Good luck lad, hopefully you won't need it and you'll settle in brilliantly - we're desperate for you to.
