Bloody hell De Bruyne is getting better and better. Bayern will be after him soon.
Another example of why you must try to buy a Chelsea player when they are trying to offload. So many good players they have tossed aside.

Yeah, he's fantastic... He's so intelligent on the ball too.. De Bruyne and Hazard will be a lethal combination for a long time.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Wolfsburg were brilliant tonight barely gave Bayern a look in and were devastating on the counter.

Wow De Bruyne, sick. Wanted us to buy him when Chelsea didn't want him anymore but now it's too late. Class player. Forget Hazard, this is the Belgian star.

Klopp's men bottom of the the Bundesliga, incredible.

Weidenfeller, Hummels, Schmelzer, Reus, Sahin, Immobile all starting today v Leverkusen, currently 0-0, an hour gone.

Kagawa, Subotic, Mikhtaryan (just came on) and Aubameyang amongst the subs.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

Has Klopp changed his system? Surely he would considering how found out they've became.

4-2-3-1 today so not a whole lot.

Immobile up top with Reus behind flanked by Grosskreutz and Kampl. Sahin and Ginter in the middle of the park.

Least they didn't concede.

Very little seperating the bottom half of the table, a couple of wins could mean the difference between the relegation zone and the top 9.

Hope they can start turning this around.

Dortmund looked a lot more solid than they have for a good while. It was an absorbing match, even if there wasn't a great deal of beautiful football being played. The table is very tight, so a couple of wins could quite easily bring them back into mid-table. There seems to be very little chance of them being relegated, or of Bayern not winning the title, so the main intrigue is going to be who else qualifies for the Champions League.

Wow, if they don't turn things round, they will most likely face a sell-off, and that would be the end of their competitive period...

Of course, I doubt that they'll be relegated...

True. When you think about the players they've lost even when they were winning the league or reaching the CL final, you do fear the worst for them if they miss out on CL qualification, which seems almost inevitable now.

It's a shame, because they've been an unbridled joy when they've been on song under Klopp, and seem a likeable bunch for a successful side. Have to hope one of Wolfsburg/Gladbach/Schalke/Leverkusen can step up a level, as the league is going to suffer if Bayern continually look to have the title sewn up before Christmas. Still have a huge soft spot for German football though. And German beer as well, obviously.

Dortmund is getting a lot of the attention, but the two relegation/playoff spots in front of them are occupied by Stuttgart and HSV, also Bundesliga stalwarts. HSV almost went down last season too. Stuttgart won the league in 2007, but has been poor the last couple seasons. Both teams have spent over 50 years in the Bundesliga, which was only created in 1963. HSV have been in top flight football continuously since the end of WWI.

Snowing just a little bit in the Augsburg-Hoffenheim game.

Snow + yellow shirts with a red trim reminded me of us in our 1980s pomp for some reason. The addition of a yellow ball midway through the first half made me feel even more nostalgic.

Gotta love Bayern, red card, no moaning, get on with it, penalty saved. Atmosphere seems great as well, not sure why people suggest the Allainz is quiet, seems better the PL atmospheres, certainly better than my two visits to Anfield....

Howedes seems to be able to kick opponents with impunity since the World Cup. He's committed at least three yellow-card offences tonight, but all he has to do is put on a fake smile and the referee just waves things on, no matter how cynical the foul. Terrible game since Schalke got the goal, made even worse by having the painfully bad Clive Allen on co-commentator duties.

Thing is they've been awfully consistent at staying in the relegation zone for some time already. Probably they cannot do better than this.

They're a couple of wins away from being midtable. That's how close the league is position wise.

Stuttgart is pretty shit. Bottom half of the table 3 of the last 4 seasons, and finished one spot above the playoff last season. Been at the bottom all season.
