But anyone that disagrees with you is wrong
Nope, you can have you opinion as well. My post was not meant to offend, it was more of an attempt to show how extreme my opinion on that goal is. All the other goals I have seen from him could be duplicated by other skillful players, Yaya Toure free kicks, Negredo nutmegs, or Aguero flicks, yet I have not seen another player duplicate the complexity of that goal against Newcastle. If I had to break it down:
1. The ball played to him is horrible (without hindsight), 99.9% of the time the defender wins or the keeper claims.
2. he is looking over his left shoulder, eyes on the ball, yet also seeing Coloccini as well as noticing Krul from his peripheral vision.
3. Coloccini pushes him.
4. Controls the ball on his shoulder, a ball that was driven from the Liverpool half. Its an insult to say he controlled the ball, he did much more than that, its ultra close control, with a side order of cushioning. This was his first touch of the ball.
5. Moves the ball around the keeper, at speed. This was his second touch of the ball.
6. And finally slides the ball into the net, shoots the pistols and kisses his hand. Third touch of the ball.
If you really look at that goal, you will see that he is so limited to what he can do, so nearly all options are taken away from him. He had to play that to absolute perfection, literally zero margin for error.
