Just fucking win
By 3 or more (post Arsenal result)
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

Great incentive to go level on points with Arsenal now, that's really good considering we've gifted 5 points away in the last 2 games.

Got to start producing again though, but if we want top 4 we've got to prove we can get over the last 2 games and pick up max points from these next 2 away games.

We need to get back on a good run starting tomorrow.

Very important now that we come into the away Everton match with a bit of momentum ourselves.

Will be interesting to see how Klopp rotates players in and out over the next 2 matches.

Hate facing this lot especially at their ground. We never seem to show up.. Watched them against city and arsenal this season and all the done was sat back deep and try and use traore's pace and power. Slightly worried about Milner's lack of pace against him.

Think we'll see Moreno start for that reason.

Nah, what Milner lacks in pace he makes up for in almost every other department. Moreno's only attribute is pace. Plus if we were to get a penalty you'd want Milner taking it.

I don't normally join in with this at this stage of the season but tomorrow really is a big game. I don't care how we win just get across the line with the three points. We are going into a very crucial period and tomorrow will be difficult but a win there is by no means impossible.

All this talk of winning by 3 goals is a bit silly, Middlesbrough have a great defensive record, we're historically crap at the Riverside, and we desperately need to put a stop to this little bad run we're on. I'd happily take a 1-0 with the winner coming off Clyne's arse.

Probably means that Lovren is still out if true.  Wonder if it will be Klavan or Lucas in for Lovren if he is out?  I'm guessing Klavan as Lucas seems to play when Matip is out.

Hate playing this lot at their ground, never a fond memory of us playing there, always dropped points as long as I can remember against them there.

They don't concede, they are a lot better defensively than we are, they're very organized, they don't score a lot but we don't defend well so who knows. We have to be very patient and probe and move the ball very quickly. Mane,Firmino need really to step up if we are going to have a chance of getting on a run whilst Phil is out. We've dropped points, Chelsea have some room and thankfully Arsenal lost tonight, but we need to make this count.

We need a win, so some of the bed fucking wetters here can fuck off.

This will be a tight affair. The number of 1-1s and win/loses by a solitary goal dominates most of Boro's games. The bitters are the only team to score more than 2 against them and that is at home. I am hoping for a 2-0 for the reds.

By one goal will do.

Spent a good while hoping for Boro not to get promoted. Bogey side. And here we are, and we need a win. Need it now. Shit me Jurgen... if it's 1-1 and we've got 5 mins to go, just sling on a young 'un from the bench. If it fails fine... just do what you can. It gets the crowd up... you'll learn that. Don't overthink - embrace the madness.

They have been beaten 4 times at home this season, and we will make it 5
and will beat them 3 - 1

For some reason this will in no way, shape or form be available for me to see live on telly (legally) in the country I live in, so I will have to watch a replay very late at night after coming home from the premiere of the new Star Wars film. Hopefully we'll slaughter them as mightily as some of the characters of that movie are likely to be.

This has been a horrible fixture for us down the years. One that no matter what team we've had or what manager has been in charge, we've always seemed to struggle at the Riverside. I think we've only won once there in the league since they moved there. Saying that, I'm positive we can break this hoodoo and get our season back on track with a hard-fought win. 2-0 to the tricky reds.

I'm praying Karius has a good solid game for us tomorrow. Not just for our sake, but for the lad's sake as well.

To add to Nick's reply, I looked up our record at the Riverside.

2 Wins, 5 Draws, 8 Defeats in 15 matches in all comps (11 scored, 19 conceded).

1 goal in the last 7 trips there (4 draws, 3 defeats) which was a Torres screamer during 07/08.

Luckily, we have a set of players and a manager who won't care about those statistics.  A win at the Riverside would be a massive boost.  Boro are also going to be tough for the other top teams.
King Kenny.

Huge incentive to move back up the table and narrow the gap, thanks to Everton's comeback.
Let us put this patchy run behind us and get 3 points before the derby.
Same eleven as last game hopefully (not that we have much of a choice, except Mignolet and maybe Can if fit).

That should tighten up our leaky defence........

You are right-it won't as it is how the team is set up. Individual errors and not system is what is killing us. However, as much as I like and prefer Milner at LB, he hasn't covered himself in glory over the last few games. Moreno could not have done any worse. Basically, those similar mistakes Moreno did early on has been replicated by Milner. Not having a go at either player as that is football. Merely pointing out the different reactions of the fan base. One gets lambasted and the other given a free ride.
How quickly do things turn? Arsenal slipping ( and play Man City this week end) and Chelsea will too. Up to us to take charge and stay in the hunt. Still a long season ahead.Do think we need to buy a pacy winger to freshen things up for the run in.
On a flight tonight so will be missing the game. 3 points would be terrific.

He could, and has, more often.

Scary how fast people forget just how bad other players have been, as soon as we have a couple of average results.

Suddenly people hankering for Mignolet for Karius, Moreno for Milner, Lucas for Henderson (:lmao), Klavan starting full time over Lovren.

I don't actually go on other forums so no idea if its true, but I struggle to believe we're not one of the most kneejerk fanbases around
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

For some reason Moreno is public enemy here. I believe there is a very good player there. He is no way as bad as people here make out. Him bombing up is due to klopp. Only things he does wrongly is over enthusiastic while tackling especially inside the box. Doesn't make a wise decision. That will come only with expereince.

I hope he starts today

No he's not, he's a good squad option.

But he has been terrible in a number of massive games for us, he's completely unreliable. There's a reason Milner has been starting for us at LB, because he's better than Moreno.

It’s the result influencing the performances, suddenly other players are the dream answer. We really haven’t been that bad, just need to cut out the individual errors.
