Aren't those just rumours from months ago?

Some Talksport clown said his "sources" told him it's going through by the end of the week. Which of course is entirely plausible as that's how quickly these things happen. My bid for Real Madrid is set to be finalised by next Tuesday

Sturridge out injured again with a "calf"   :butt

Sort of getting tired of his persistent niggles.  Could of used a fit Sturridge today no doubt.

Firmino is the key. If we put him into position to get on the ball and get his rhythm we'll have too much for these. It would also bode well for the upcoming games till Phil gets back.

Agreed.   But Middlesbrough is a tough team at their home so I would think Klopp should change his formation from 4-3-3 to 4-3-1-2 just to give more strength to the defence.   Firmino should play as a playmaker behind Origi and Mane as strikers.  Personally, I would like to see Clyne to move to the left-back while Alexander-Arnold plays as right-back.  That mean Milner can play along with Henderson and Wijnaldum.

The line-up is like:-

4 - Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Klavan, Clyne
3 - Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum  -
1 - Firmino
2 - Mane, Origi

The bench is still strong - Lallana, Gomez, Moreno, Grujic, Stewart, Mignolet.

That's my idea to stop letting silly goals against us!

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

anyway, we keep an eye on Ramirez and Traore and the result will well and truely look after itself.

This is the night he seals his January move to us

You want Lallana, arguably our best player this season and the man who sets the tone for our pressing, left out?

We need to remember that we're a bloody good football team so we need to turn up, apply ourselves properly and do the basics right. Do that and I'm confident we'll get a result.

It was inside the box and he was free as a bird

Mate you're getting it from all angles but seriously......in their 9 game winning streak do you not think they have rode their luck a bit sometimes either? If you say that Costa chance could have made the game 2-2, what about de bruyne's chance (much easier) against them the other day to make it 2-0 and probably finish the game?

that would make it -3 points for them and -2 for us....so only 5 points behind them I guess.

You get my point tho right?

who cares anyway.

Pre-match thread - I hope our players are not being defeatist in their preparations and bury Boro tonight. We are a much better team and we need to just go out there and show it, up the reds

Not sure why this is a surprise, hes had a "calf" injury for a few weeks now and Klopp even said last week that he wouldnt be recovered in time for this game.

I think Lallana isn't match fit yet so he might be on the bench again.  But if Lallana starts tonight, good for him.  I'd hate to see Lallana get injured again before important games in the busy festive against Everton, Stoke, Man City and Sunderland that he's highly likely to play from start in those games.

I thought we were a bloody good football team against Bournemouth and West Ham, but still let six goals against us.  That's why we need to strength the defence for now and get away with 3 points!

He ran further than any other player all season in our last game and scored a goal, looks pretty match fit to me.
