Also something i have always noticed about Enrique and something that might surprise and impress a few of you, is his strength. Ive seen him bully alot off players of the ball and when you have the pace aswell to catchup...

Welcome Jose. One done, one more to go probably in the form of CB. But this was indeed the most awaited one and we have made a brilliant business.

He does play on the left. ;D

Great acquisition!  And finally a first-choice natural LB, instead of other players having to fill in.  Welcome to LFC, El Toro!

Also, maybe now some naysayers will have a bit more faith in Kenny, Comolli and our owners, 5.5/6 million is a steal of a deal.

As SG, GJ & Skrtel are all injured, Enrique hasn't had time to time to train/settle in with the squad and if Suarez is ready to go - for the Sunderland game :

                                Reina
         Kelly          Carra    Agger        Fabio

                       Lucas        Adam
                              Aquilani
    Suarez                                          Downing
                                Carroll

When all available :

                                Reina
         Johnson     Skrtel    Agger        Enrique

                                Lucas

Nah, we've got three players to play up-top. 2 bad draws in the cups and we could only play 40 games this season.

Ngog is fine for fourth-choice. How good does a fourth-choice have to be?

A centre-half and were good to go.

Obvious difference was that Dossena was generally considered very slow whereas, from the consensus on the transfer forums and Newcastle fans, Enrique has some speed to him.

That and the fact he has some prem experience should give him a much better chance of making it.

At 6ft he's pretty tall for a fullback. And along with Adam, Henderson and Carroll our team is a lot more imposing than it has been. I like it.

Nope, all our deals are twenty million this summer. :)

Said this in the other thread in the transfer forum, our best signing of the summer.
Quality player, absolute snip at the price, and at last some consistency in the left back position.
Only signing so far of the summer I have had absolutely no reservations about, for one reason or another.
Kiss of death that, sorry Jose, but welcome to Anfield.
I got the Lucas thing wrong. Will be right on Henderson though. Play him RM, play him CM - Not good enough and never will be.

I'm feeling really confident about the upcoming season with the squad we have now.
Really think we'll get into the top 3 - never mind sneak 4th.

Appreciate our team needs to gel but Arse are all over the place at the moment whilst  Spuds haven't improved from last year (& may still lose Modric) & I don't think Chelsea are as strong as the 2 manchester clubs.
Manure have bought well (might still get Sneider) & Manchester City have the best squad in the league.

Getting a result away at Arse in a few weeks would be a great way to send a clear message to the rest of the league that we are a force again.
