Not the same as when i grew up there.

Even the kids struggle with the 'minding cars' due to the permits.

was a thriving community & i used to love it there as a kid.

now?

even the local sports shop has changed,(albeit a while ago).

was once Barnett Shieldhouse

now?

The circle of life Davo me arl mucker, circle of life!  :wave

There are places I値l remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I致e loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I値l never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I値l often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I値l never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I値l often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more
The sky does not know of east or of west;
it is in the minds of men where such distinctions are made, and then they believe them to be true.

Everyone i know got their boots from there while we were all growing up

Lived in Walton for first 28 years of my life.Does anyone remember the ponds known as the seven sisters before they built houses on them?Had some scary times on them with the constant threat of 'mobs' and other assorted nutters who used to frequent them.

I grew up in Chirkdale Street by Carisbrook Road. I lived their from when I was one to about twelve. Its sad but they where the best days of me life round their. I live in Bootle now, I've lived here over ten years now and never liked it. Its the worst area in liverpool, I reckon though if me ma never moved then I'd be doin fuck all with me life. Am at uni now and if i'd stayed round their I dont reckon I'd ever av gone to uni. So its not the best of areas if you want to do something with your life. I see a few lads an that an eiether they have just got out the jug or something else up to no good.

I've been down their only a few times but its changed in terms of people and lads an that but nothing else. Anyone on here go to St Frannys and Archbishop beck.

Went to Archies, mid 90's, worked there late 90's too, as an evening caretaker looking after the Astro Turf, Sports Hall and that.

I lived in Walton from the age of 2 until I was 16 (moved about three years ago). I used to love it, but it was going downhill just as we left. There are just too many gangs of scally kids trying to outdo each other.

The lower school was an absolute shithole, remember the psycho science teacher mr gilmore, loon.

Wally Hotdog, completely forgot about him, brings back memories, fire drills were a pain in the arse in the end though, one ever 5 minutes.

And walton park estate isnt too bad...'bits' of it. 2 shite streets though. Never any trouble.

Born and brought up just down the road from Evered Avenue school. At the far end of the school (by Crescent Road) you could climb up onto the roof and there was a little flat part surrounded by a wall where you could doss in the sun all day and no-one would have a clue you were there.
Alternatively, we would have a 20 a side match on the yard. Terrible for blisters but great memories.
