AS Monaco
« on: April 19, 2017, 10:06:14 pm »
What a season they have had, top of the league and in the Semis of the Champions League along the way playing some of the most exciting football I can remember.

It's been something special seeing a great young group of playes and manager work as one.

Would be a shame seeing the team get taken apart in the summer along with Jardim being hot property as well.

It would be wonderful to see them lift it, if nothing else because of the football they play. They are the most entertaining side in Europe.

This current Monaco squad will be pillaged in the next two summer transfer windows.

They've already lost Bakayoko to Chelsea.

Its a wonderful story. Hope they do the double but even winning the Ligue 1 would be absolutely spectacular for those youngsters.

Then summer transfer window will come and pirates will raid the ship.

We should be among them and Klopp should ready his eye patch as we speak.

Love to see us go for that Lemar, looks a great player but seems slightly more under the radar than a few of the others.

The most impressive team in Europe this season. I wonder if Jardim can do it with shit players, like Arsenals.

Monaco seems to a have a core of really exciting young players backed by some solid reliable squad players like Glik, Raggi and Subasic. Falcao is now also back to his best. He could have achieved a lot more in his career had he not wasted his time in England.

I used to sign Benjamin Mendy in FM 2012. He was superb in that, good to see he is living up to the hype in real life as well.

Agree on the Lemar shout. Would be perfect for that Lallana/Gini role.

Where the hell did they get all those good youngsters from? Did they all come through the youth?

Nice. Think I might actually prefer Lemar over Naby Keita who we've been linked to, given that he can also play on the wing. Good to have options :)

They've already lost Bakayoko to Chelsea.
How come? No credible source has reported it, all gossip talk at the moment. Not saying it wont happen, but to say they've already lost him to Chelsea is a bit premature.

Luis Campos built their academy setup which has some of the best youngsters in France. He also built great connections with all French INFs (Football schools) from where they got players like Mbappe on the cheap. Their policy of buying young local talent who are hungry for first team is paying off with Jardim as he's one manager who prefers working with youngsters rather than 'stars'.

L'Equipe reported that personal terms were agreed. Chelsea still had to agree on a price with Monaco.

Rumored to have signed Youri Tielemans for €20 million, would be an excellent signing for the start of the rebuild once their top stars leave in the summer.

Well there's your backup for Bakayoko.

Damn, I wanted us to go for Tielemans.  :(
