Dislike them both:

Chelsea - needs no explanation. Horrible club, horrible fans.

Spurs - ugh! Cringeworthy "4th place our everything" club; direct rivals to us as Doc Red far more eloquently points out above. A win for them would be more at our expense than if Chelsea do it.

Weirdly, I like the managers of both clubs.

The really annoying thing is if Spurs do win it, the points total will be quite low and without that poor patch we could have been there fighting for it. It will annoy more than Leicester winning it last year.

Would rather Spurs but don't think Poch has the bottle come the 'big' games (i'm basing this on his shite showing in europe and win record against the big teams which i'm sure i seen was fairly shite too?). There's pressure's on now and every games huge. Would like to have egg on me face come season end though

Surprised at how few mentions there are in this thread of Chelsea's attitude to Hillsborough? because that is the deciding factor ....their supporters have never shown anything but disrespect to the 96, the families, LFC, Scousers and the city of Liverpool...

Cant stomach them and would absolutely fuckin love Spurs to pip them to the title.
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

I know mate. It seems a lot don't want Spurs to win it because their fans are annoying. Well, I'll take annoying over that gang of c*nts any day of the week.

I have mentioned in another thread though, that If I had my way, neither club would get anywhere near winning the title. Ever!

Which is why I chose the last one, I'm just amazed by how many are choosing Tottenham to be honest. The most hyped up team in the Premier League living with that would become unbearable.

I picked Spurs Chelsea.
Chelsea are Chelsea, they've been big spenders and we're not competing for the same sorts of players.
Tottenham are the team that seem to have a similar structure or business plan as ours (i.e aren't the biggest spenders), and we're competing for the same types of players at the same market value. They've already shifted ahead of us over the last 5 years or so, a title would absolutely cement their credentials as major players in the league and it would be at the expense of Arsenal and ourselves.

In short, they gain far more from a league title than Chelsea would, and only because of that reason I'd rather Chelsea won it.

Yeah. I dislike chelsea's fans more though

but another league title for them would just be "heh" kinda feel and it doesn't really change much, they won things by having a billionaire spunking loads, it's an empty achievement

a league for spurs would be another kick in the teeth to us because we have similar structures

Good god 21 people going for Spurs when neither is also on there.  :o
Hmm. It says "dislike equally". Chelsea's fanbase is the second most racist in London (after Millwall) and they wore it as a badge of honour. A Spurs win might put the spotlight on ur own failings, but there's no way that I dislike a club like Spurs equally to one with Russian Kleptogarch Chelsea.

Their disrespect of Hillsborough shows us nothing much has changed.

I find the choices very strange to be honest. There is no way as a Liverpool fan, I would want to see another team win the title before us. It was the only way I could do it.  :-\

If they win the league, would they be overly hyped up though? They'd be champions and deservedly so. Having collected the most points over 38 games.

And it doesn't really bother me if they win it, coz they're that far behind with their trophy count anyway. Let them have their day in the sun if it so happens. We're in a good way with our manager anyway and we're going in the right direction. Our day will come.

That goes without saying :D But we've had plenty of practice watching another team win the league. As it stands today it looks like the winner will be from one of those clubs.

Even if we take the fanbase out of the equation a team like Spurs winning should encourage us, not be a source of despondency; they are ahead of us in their development.

Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

I don't get why people love to divide the Premier League from the old First Division so much, it's the same thing. If we win the league with Klopp (something I am quite sure will happen), we won't be winning our first league title, we will be winning our nineteenth league title.

Exactly.

Spurs because

1) Chelsea would probably be daft enough to sack Conte for the 'collapse'

2) Spurs will struggle with the pressure of being Champions combined with playing at Wembley next year

This all means Liverpool kick on again next year and storm to the league title. Right?

Well, they did sack double winning Carlo Ancelotti, so I wouldn't put it past them.

Rumours are Abramovich was absolutely furious with Conte after back to back defeats against ourselves and Arsenal. And was actually close to getting rid of him back then.

Pretty much my thoughts to a tee.  I like both managers, particularly Conte.  At the minute I enjoy watching spurs. Chelsea had the rub of the green quite a few times during their shaky start to the season - a few draws and wins that should've been losses, save for bad reffing.

I'm not sure how Spurs winning it would definitely be worse for us myself. People are forgetting that Spurs will have to play at Wembley next season. A ground they really struggled playing in during their CL games. Every team they face is going to be really up for their trip to Wembley. Plus if they did win the league, the weight and expectation could weigh heavy on them as well.

Another financially-doped club winning the league would be bad for us. A club with less resources and a smaller wage bill than us winning again would be good for us. eg. For recruitment it would be better to be able to say it's not only City or Chelsea that win the league here.

Just remember their fans disrespecting the 96 before being happy with their team winning the league over Spurs. That trumps everything else for me.

My hatred for Chelsea is only outdone by my hatred for Man Utd. No other teams in the world do I hate more.

How would Spurs winning the league be "damaging" for us exactly?

Begrudgingly Chelsea, I dislike them hugely but I can't help but think Spurs winning it wouldn't be great for us in the long run. I'd quite like to see them drop off particularly with the new stadium as we don't need another successful London club to compete with specifically when it comes to transfers.

Chelsea are a scummy club. Despicable fans, owner, and some of their players.
Spurs are annoying, but I still think its preferable, even if you know their fans would be utterly insufferable.

Probably because they shop in a similar kind of market to ourselves and they'd become more attractive to players.

This, they've been disrespectful for a long time. Disrespected the 96 and Hillsborough, also the way they treated Rafa was shameful. I don't have a lot of problems with Spurs. I've met a few fans, they are delusional at times but the ones i've met were all nice guys.
