However, on the subject of Return To Forever from earlier, Al Di Meola released a solo double album called
Splendido Hotel in around 1980.
Much of it is very intense and technically highly proficient if slightly inaccessable stuff to get into immediately, though perserverance can be rewarding.
One of the more immediately accessible tracks is this, a fun duet with the late Les Paul of the old Al Martino classic....
