No, but if he wins this, you won't be seeing 12/1 for a very long time.

Everyone is on about Ian Poulter this week. Ive seen McDowell,Rose, Bubba Watson and Lee Westwood saying hes in flying form. Ive also heard Ian Poulter say Ian Poulter is in great form too. Tied 10th last year, im tempted at 50s despite how much of a gobshite he is.

Someone agrees:

'50/1 is well worth a bet folks'

Unfortunately that's Poults himself.

So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

just a 1 or 2 pound(combination of win and ew's) bet on each....
paul casey
ernie els
franciso molinari
rickie fowler
stewart cink
johnattan vegas
if you wanna be the best you gotta beat the best

I'll make two predictions of this...Carroll won't score 3 PL goals total for the rest of the year and we won't score 5 against any team all year.  We might still get CL football without either happening.

Looks good on Donald.

Don't hope he doesn't win it.  It proves his short game is still upto standard.  Just because no one has won this and the masters in the same year means nothing.

The lad is on form and this will only help him

My team, no more bets now.

Nick Watney 45/1 in January (+ used a few free £25 bets on him at odds around 20/1) - My biggest winner!
Jonathan Byrd 150/1
Jim Furyk 75/1
Harrington 69/1
Y.E. Yang average odds around 110
F. Molinari average odds around 95 I think.

Also a few small bets for 1st round leader.

Jerry Kelly 150
Heath Slocum 180
Brandt Snedeker 85
Robert Allenby 95
Stuart Appleby 150
Crane 130
Moore 80

Good luck all, especially those who have backed Watney  ;) (even I agree his price has gone too short though)

Yes, but the lad is the most talented golfer in the world right now. Does he have the mental strength to go with that swing? He has the ability to tear up any course when he fires, can shoot lower than anyone. But he's made starts like this before, seldom converts.

Thats the next challenge for Rory. I think he can, because for a 21 year old, his attitude is just great. Once he wins the first biggie, I think he's set fair. The big thing that encourages me tonight is not his score (thats always possible with McIlroy), but the really strong potential candidates are off form (ie Westwood, Kaymer, Goosen etc). Theres nobody in that top 15 that worries me, even if Rory has the customary 75 in one of his first 3 rounds.

For that reason I will wait until he falters tomorrow or Saturday, let the odds come out... then stick another 100 on.  I think he's got this to lose.

All E.W

2 main bets
Donald 28/1
B.Watson 40/1

Medium bets
R.Fowler 66/1
F.Molinari 80/1
Y.E Yang 100/1

Outside bet
A. Hansen 300/1

I did also do my Johnny Vegas bet @ 300/1.  He was poor on the front 9 but what a back 9.  Birdies all over the gaff and a beautiful eagle.  Loved that 3 ball too, Woodland, JV and Quiros.  Big hitting bastards!!.

Not a bad day at all.  Just Francesco with a high +3 today.  A very inconsistent round from him, he sometimes has these up and down days but then the next day he will shoot a -7 round.  The rest all in contention.  Donald was nearly the same as Francesco but pulled it back nicely from the 13th onwards.

Yang had a lovely round.  Shame his final 2 holes were 2 bogeys.

Just done a DAY2 3 ball acca of:

Yang
Woodland
Casey
Barnes

Just think these guys looked hot towards the end of their rounds yesterday (other than Yangs bogies) and will carry on the same today.

But I also did a long shot but interesting 3-Ball double of Sandy Lyle and Jin Jeong at a juicy price

Lyle is pretty dam good on this course and found a bit of form of late. Against known and proven bottler Alex Cejka along with relatively unknown amatuer David Chung.
Jin Jeong the very promising young amatuer against old man Larry Mize and Sabbatini.

Not sure how anyone can be so comfortable backing Rickie Fowler to be honest, yet to win on the PGA Tour and is proven to be susceptible to a nightmare round. Going ok for my picks so far, all 6 made the cut and Choi and Donald are well in contention. Poulter has played well save for a couple of holes, and Dustin Johnson has made hell of a comeback today. Jimenez will struggle to get up the leaderboard, and Rose has done well to make the cut.

As for a couple of each way bets, I think Yang and Poulter will have legs personally.
