Got a ticket in the general sale last week for a mate. The ticket they have sent me is for the seat I have on my card in the auto cup, not the seat in the lower annie it should be for.

If I get onto the ticket office first thing will they get a replacement ticket sent out to me by Wednesday? Don't fancy trying to sort this out before kick off on Wednesday.

Yes, definitely phone and ask. It sounds like they may have swapped things around, and your card will now get you entry for the one you purchased in the general sale. But I'd definitely be looking for clarification, and also confirmation of whether or not they have also sent you a paper ticket for the general sale one that you purchased.

Had exactly the same thing happen. Our ticket office is weird...

In some ways I would prefer to have 30000 spares and have an atmosphere like Auxerre where everyone present was 100% up for it and gave it everything.

In the 80s we'd have barely got over 30,000 for this.  The atmosphere wont be as good as when we played QPR in 86 even though we got beat by a team we were easily expected to beat.  Or the Walsall match for that matter.

Struggling to sell out isn't as embarrassing as the people who turned up for us in the first leg.  I'd rather have a half empty end of passionate supporters than an end full of whopers.

Tons of match day hospitality available for this not surprised the prices are shocking close to three times what they charged for Leeds.

Saw some good lads at Southampton to be fair but couldn't help we were outnumbered by a lot of people who don't go to many games, if any at all. I was 6 rows back and only one lad in front of me out of about 40 joined in with anything at all.

Well up for this one. I prefer the adversity games.

I was on the Kop that night. Rest of the ground was not far off empty but the atmosphere that night was up there with any of our recent CL nights and EL nights including Chelsea and Dortmund

Long may it continue , hopefully long term low demand for hospitality will make the club rethink on ticket prices

Probably not quite Chelsea in 05 but I'd say it was better than Dortmund.

We had a lot more raw aggression back then.  When people talk about atmosphere they sometimes only consider the singing.  Things like the cheering of every 50 50 ball, whistling and the drone when they had the ball, getting on the ref's back every opportunity, the general roar every time we went forward with the ball.  Not forgetting the simple Liverpool chant.

All that kind of thing is missing now, even on Euro nights.  Sorely missed aspects of the atmosphere when people are talking about how it was.

Singing was only one part of the great atmosphere, not the only part though.

That's what we really need back.  It's OK to only sing when we're winning, as long as you're making a general din when we're not.

Totally agree with this.  I think the things you mentioned actually contribute more to helping the players than singing anyway.

The other thing I miss is singing players chants.  Apart from a few players we just don't seem to have them anymore.

Same for me that for the Atletico Madrid semi in 2010.

Don't want to jump the gun but "in the event of us progressing to the final"....I have been looking up train prices and times as I imagine many others have.  I have also had a look on the EFL site and it is worth noting that the advertised kick off of 4.30 pm is "subject to change based on police intelligence".  Reading into that a Liverpool v Utd final with the potential for huge number of fans to travel from the North West and be drinking all day, combined with the logistics of getting umpteen thousand fans back onto trains to the North West might just make for an earlier kick off.

Can't see them changing the kick off time because of a potential Liverpool United final they didn't do it when we played them in Cardiff either.
