Patience, a bit of guile, stretch them wider, up the tempo - or even just a quality ball from a set piece. We'll get more chances to nick the first and then they'll have to decide how much they want to lose by. But so far it's all been a bit too stodgy from us and they're perfectly happy just to play 9-0-1.

Thought we'd hammer these, that obviously isn't going to happen, so now just get over the line and get the win.

Fucking sickener that Phil looks like being out for months.

We might still do, they'll tire and a goal for us will fire up the team.

Coutinho's injury looks bad, but we don't know the specifics yet, he might not be out as long as we might fear.

Would bring Woodburn on for Gini, move Bobby to the 10, Origi upfront and Woodburn on the left.

Not even joking

Signs in the last 7 or 8 minutes that we were getting our shit together. Klopp will saying 'more of that'. One goal will open the floodgates.

i am perfectly ok with a 1-0 win only

I am thinking that Klopp will probably put Moreno on sooner rather than later. Many attacks down that left hand side have ended up in a dead end. Milner looks to have lost a bit of inspiration I reckon, though a lot of that is also an issue of who he's partnering with down that side.

I think we will break through in the second half though. Wijnaldum will come good, just a gut feeling.

How we getting that mate? Moysie has brought a reinforced double decker bus with him.
But he announced he was doing so beforehand, none of this should be a surprise to us.

I thought so too, Yorky. Another 10 minutes in that half and we'd have scored - I think Origi has made a real difference since coming on, and him and Firmino look alive to each other.

Moreno for Can, Milner into midfield. Extra pace and directness is needed.
Am slowly loosing my patience with Can he contributes very little and lacks pace.
Like a bottle of wine the reds get better and better.

Same pattern of play all to often played by us for the past 20 odd years or so. Huff and puff but not invention, no creativity and no imagination.

This is why we aren't good enough to win the title.

Shall we not bother playing the 2nd half then? Seems like you've decided it's a monumental waste of everyone's time.

He's not broke his ankle, he's holding the bottom of his foot. Could of broke something in his foot, not his ankle
Yeah, broke a bone in his foot maybe, at worst. Maybe even just jarred it.

I never understand this sentiment. They are playing football - they're aiming for the best result they can, and they're doing a decent job of it so far. It doesn't have to be their job to come and attack us. That's our job - it's up to us to score goals against whoever, not up to whoever to let us have chances.

It's just that I thought that the intention of the game of football is to win a match. I've never, ever understood the 'let's get a point' attitude, perhaps it's just me. Having said that, it can be seen as flattery, having to put nine men behind the ball against us just to be able to cope.

We will win still but even with the injuries we look an attacker light. Probably something to address in January.
We've Sturridge. Get him on. Don't need Henderson and Can in the midfield.

If we're going to win this, Origi has to play as a proper center forward. He's dropping too deep, goes out wide and their center backs are as comfortable as they've been all season.

Milner is gonna find that left side tougher for sure with no Phil there. Personally would get Moreno on for Gini and move Milner into midfield

We have two fairly average matches and everyone's like 'Oh, here's our level'.

It's like the previous ten matches when we were on fire suddenly don't matter. We were top of the league by accident?

Come on, at least wait until the end of the match.

Yeah, it could easily just be a precaution to ensure the injury doesn't become more serious than it already is.
