Too good. Last time a player had an impact as quickly as this was Suarez. If Mane can become half the player Suarez was/is, then we're laughing. Great goal today.

the touch for his goal was absolute rubbish to be honest..the chance would have gone if it was other players

but its Mane, his feet so quick, nothing a sharp swivel wont solve  : ;D

he is on fire so far. goals, assists and general play has been fooking impressive

I saw Mane up close on Saturday v Hull and he looks frightening!

I was one of those supporters who questioned the fee and whether he was good enough for us at the time of signing, but I can happily say I was wrong. I like his directness and he seems to have that knack of scoring goals. Long may it continue.

I remember when Evertonians were talking as if Bolasie was the next best winger in world football. Its disgusting even comparing Mane to someone who can't beat his man.

He behaves like a striker when he gets the chances, very composed and direct. Bit like Kuyt in that aspect, something we've really been missing from our midfielders. Now Lallana seems to have figured the scoring part out too.

Proving all the doubters wrong more and more each game with the whole "He's inconsistent" crap they spouted when we signed him. Always knew once he was surrounded by quality attackers he'd thrive consistently when he's not the only one being triple teamed.

It's a bit too early to say he's rid of his inconsistency tag just yet. He used to have a short spell games where he was brilliant for Southampton as well and then nothing for ages.  He has been brilliant so far though. Far better than I thought he'd be for us anyway.

Even when he is having off games in terms of passing or finishing, his pace and movement alone is good enough for our other magicians to take advantage of. Remember the Chelsea game .

He's going to be missed come January.

Of course he will.  Quality players always are.

But we're getting to the point now where we're trying not to depend to fully on any one player, just like we did with Sturridge the past few seasons.

I don't know how good Senegal are these days, but depending on how far they get in the competition, he will miss Utd (A), Swansea (H), Chelsea (H) and Hull (A).

Fuck it......we'll cope.

Wow, 11 in 13 and 16 attempts? I do wonder, is he our best finisher after Sturridge?

He could get a serious number of goals this season.

Think Firmino is our best finisher after Sturridge but Sadio is up there. Issue is in the past he has had runs of goals then runs without goals. To be expected as he is a wide man though. I don't think he will keep the curent run up as the only ones who score that from wide are Ronaldo, Neymar, Bale and Messi. If he can hit 15-17 goals in the league though that would be a brilliant return. Would possibly mean he could get around 20 in all comps.

That, to me, is a serious return for a winger. I think that we will have 3 or more players om double figures in the league, by the end.

He is a bargain for what we payed for him.

He has everything in his locker and he's only going to get better under Klopp which is frightening.

bit more on it from the Beeb:
"Liverpool's Sadio Mane has won the PFA Fans' Premier League Player of the Month award for August and September, beating Kevin De Bruyne and Etienne Capoue to second and third respectively.
Jurgen Klopp's side are now fourth in the table and the division's second-top scorers behind Manchester City, with 16 goals in six matches - 11 of those coming in their past three.
Mane has had a hand in six goals in six games for the Reds this season in all competitions (three goals, three assists)."
What a rate, involvement in six goals in six games. As if we could not be more chuffed with the success rate of our summer signings, plus the bringing up to speed by Jurgen of the seasons before!

I think the most impressive is: this wasn't against the dross of the league. We played some seriously good opposition, the best three London teams away and the Champions of last season at home. 10 points out of these fixtures is very impressive and I don't think any team is going to better that tally.
Last resort if you need tickets in Switzerland.
