Well deserved lead. Pinging it around nicely. Fully in control. I just shit myself still when we havent got that 2nd goal cushion. Need an early goal. Gutted for Kelly. Hopefully Lucas is okay aswell.
We just leave them be for a while, take a breather, let them settle, then bang!  All over them like a tramp on chips.

Ref is absolute shit.

I wonder how many tackles Lucas made, he seems to manage to take every ball off of every Bolton player. Henderson is having a great game as well, awesome goal.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we can keep up our standard of play in the second half.

The most encouraging thing for me is how solid we've been defensively. Lucas is largely to thank for it, I think.

I thought he's done well.

Agreed. As much as I would have liked him to be wrong about the handball he was spot on. He's not put a foot wrong yet. refreshing to see a good ref for a change.

Happy with our performance just wish we would finish our chances. could be 3 or 4 up by now. but very happy with our controlling of the game.

First 25 minutes were incredible.  Suarez is dominating.

The team moves so much better without Carroll, sad to say.

Should be buzzing... but Sunderland is still fresh in my mind... And Skrtel is playing right back. }

Playing really, really well til Kelly went off, and pretty well afterward. Need to get the two goal advantage, and preferably, Carra at right back.

We've been so on top. Really hope we don't regret not putting this one to bed already. Could easily be 4 up at the break. Hope we kill it off early in the 2nd. Some of the passing and movement has been wonderful to watch. Luis the obvious stand out but also think Lucas has been superb!

Is it just me or have they mentioned Bolton's shite record at Anfield and against us about 100 times?

It's like their setting us up to get knocked down. Anyway, boss first half. Lucas, Henderson, Downing and Suarez been great. Looking forward to the second half, could do with another goal to settle my nerves.

Ref is giving every single 50-50 decision to Bolton and it's fucking me off. Great half though, need to make sure we don't do what we did vs Sunderland. Henderson, Lucas, Suarez fucking boss.

He's really not, he's been excelllent this ref to be honest. Got everything right

Entertaining first half,  some good stuff from us.  Everyone playing well.  Kuyt, Suarez,  Downing and Henderson all involved in the goal and look like they are enjoying playing together.   Bolton look inferior for the most part,  hope it continues.

Referee has got most things right but I'm not sure about the handball freekick/penalty as he had one foot in the box and one foot out,  anyone know the rule?

Should be at least 2 goals up. Feels like a mirror image to Sunderland game so far. Excellent start first 15 minutes, players buzzing, creates lots of opportunities (if anything clearer ones than first game) then after Suarez is put clean thru players look deflated/nervous and stop moving. Really need that early goal in the second half to calm the nerves.

Ref is a joke.

He really isn't (at least not in the first half).

- Foul on suarez early in first half.  Suarez went to ground over the guy.
- Foul on Adam midway.  Adam dived over the guy.
- Handball.  Was outside the box, just.  Replays showed it.
- Goal kick that was given when someone (forgot) who dived in on Enrique.  Guy got the ball and knocked it onto Enrique.

Those are the 'controversial' ones I've seen and I rarely say this but this ref has been absolutely fantastic so far.  Hope it continues.

Thought we were pretty dominant, should be leading by more than 1 goal. Which along with the ref has me worried.

That goal seems to of lifted a weight off Henderson, he's looking good.

Hate to say it, but this is a product of not having our static #9 in the team. We now play quicker, move the ball along the floor and have more fluid movement. Lucas, Henderson, Suarez & Downing SHINING today. Great performance, but we need to kill it off early in the second

Excellent first half!! Should of been out of sight by now and lost our way a little in the last ten mins. Gutted to see Kelly Injured, he and Johnson are two awesome right backs, we just cant keep them fit!!

Hope Lucas is Ok he was immense in the first half, aboslute class on the ball, tackling and blocking Davies off from in front of him for all arieal balls.

Just need to ensure the same intensity in the second half!!

Lucas is running the game in midfield, hopefully that injury is just cramp or something and he'll be back out for the second half.

If not, then I'd get Maxi on for him and play Henderson in the center.

Not clinical enough in front of goal, should be 2, possible 3 to the goods already. Don't think that was a pen either.

Dominated for the most part, made up to see Henderson with the R1 finesse shot, just a pity Suarez didn't give us the cushion of a 2nd.

Disappointed for Martin, just keeps having setbacks. Hope Lucas is alright, was bossing it in the first half, shutting down nearly every Bolton attack.

Really need a second to settle the nerves, seems like that Bolton defence is their for the taking, just need to finish off the chances.

Absolutely gutted about Kelly, was really hoping that he'd get a solid run of games, hopefully its nothing serious.

We need to get the ball to Downing more, he's so dangerous but we are rarely picking him out where he is getting the better of Steinsson every time.

Suarez looks amazing as always, and Adam looks like he is settling in well, he has cut down on his loose balls which came so often against Arsenal and Sunderland
