Gah. That was hard. I must say that Lawro and Shearer were correct; Liverpool had better get used to that type of game, in fact it was disappointing that they hadn't already provided for that quality of defending. Considering they only needed a draw, I think this might have been one match where it would have been better to have Rafa than Brendan. Although too late, this will hopefully be a lesson to Rodgers that he will learn from.
Also, I suspect that a few of the players have already started believing the hype and it's easy to see why. This game was the mother of all sucker punches.
We've had a great season and the fact that we are still in the title race is worth celebrating, but it's a very bitter pill to have Mourninho and Chelsea do us yet again on our turf, and to have to rely on Everton to somehow beat the most expensive team in Europe probably is a bit scary.
