He's just doing a fantastic job and the football we are playing is so good to watch.  I don't think I'd swap him for anyone else in the PL, not even Mourinho.

He's boss. New 5 year deal and plenty of $$$ to spend in the summer please. He'll take us right back up there, this man. Fucking brilliant.

Shades of the 08-09 side today, with the football even more pleasant on the eye. Its fucking unreal how far he's brought us in 18-20 months.

I've been a fan of his since he got here. He's learning all the time, I'm really excited to see him and the club grow together. I know there'll be ups and downs, and he'll make mistakes but you get the sense that there's a plan. You feel like we're getting out of the rut that we've been in for the past 4/5 years. Regardless of what happens this season, disappointing or not, I've really enjoyed watching us play, and I'm quite proud of the improvements we've made so far.

I'm excited about where he can take us. Like most the thought of losing suarez scares me, but every week I get more confident that regardless of what happens it won't affect us as much as it would've in the past. He just seems like a class man, and I'm quite proud to have him as our manager.

The scary thing about him is he's only 41 and he's this good of a manager. I can't even imagine what this guy can do once he gains more experience. The guy really needs a song

Mourinho is a c*nt but he wins the whole time.  I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't want him here, but not ahead of Rodgers.

Maureen may win, but his joyless, mean minded approach, and his elevation of himself above any of the clubs he works at goes against everything we expect at Anfield. Besides, Rogers is showing he can build a team, Maureen has only ever had to tweak already substantial squads. Look at the state his clubs were in when he left and you'll see he's no long term vision - as long as they do well when he's in charge then it's fine.

I'd love to go back over that Rodgers thread that was knocking about around Christmas last year (can't remember what it was called?) as there was loads of people off here saying he wasn't up to the job of Liverpool manager.

Shows what they fucking know.

Those first 20 minutes were incredible today. The way we press, pass the ball around and counter is a joy to watch. This man deserves a new contract asap. We're punching way above our weight and huge credit goes to Brendan. He's done a terrific job to have the team only 6 points off the top in February. If at the start of the season, we were offered to be in this position in February everyone would have bit an arm off for it.

He'd never get the full backing of the Kop, or at least not the love.  Thank fuck we've got a (the?) man worthy of it.

I think any rumors that Rodgers can't beat the big teams can be firmly put to bed with this. Spurs, Everton and United will testify to that as well (and we've also arguably been the better side against City 3 times out of 3)

Yet had his pants pulled down by Paul fucking Lambert. Funny old game.

And Shankly once led us to a 4-0 defeat against Everton. He learnt from it, got revenge and the rest is this thing called history.

So not sure I get your point.

That despite some brilliant results he's still young, learning and makes the odd mistake. Can get it perfect some weeks but drop the odd bollock that costs points. Wasn't damning criticism. I don't think any manager is perfect especially at just 41 with not even two years at a top club.

His pants pulled would indicate we got battered when in reality we picked up 4 points out of 6 against Villa.

He got done by Lambert tactically. Villa were battering us and 2-0 up at Anfield. Brendan saw what was happening and fixed it but his tactical mistake(which lots of people called before kick off) resulted in us dropping two points at home.

Saw this in a tweet, quality  ;D

Tottenham 0-5 Liverpool
Liverpool 4-0 Everton
Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal

If someone had told me, before the season started, we'd get 9 points from those 3 games, scoring 14 and conceding just one (via a pen) I'd of laughed in their face.

A draw is hardly getting done though is it?

We were 'done' by Southampton, or Arsenal at the Emirates, or Howard Webb at Stamford Bridge.

So you say he got done tactically by Lambert, yet then say Rodgers changed things (presumably tactically) and we got the draw.

I'd not class that as 'got done'.

we are ona great run, ok we dfrew with Villa and WBA, but come on lets have some perspective, poor performances or not we are in teh mix certainly for top 3 maybe even a outside title challenge. Mistakes will be made but he is picking the right team 99% of the time.
Well done Brendan, despite what happens he has certainly proven me wrong i was unfairly critical of him when he was appointed, and whilst we havent won anything  yet, he certainly deserves another 2-3 years minimum to show what he is capable of. He really is starting to look and feel like a proper liverpool manager.  Credit to himself and his family he has worked his socks off and backed up his talk with walk.

The thing with the Maureen comparisons is that Brendan is a far better manager. Not because he has more experience or is better at mind games, but because when he says he is in it for the long haul, he means it. Special one has spent his career burning bridges, and may even have done so with the plastics if their owner was not such a meatheaded megalomaniac giving it the footy manager every now and then. I suspect that was the real reason that MUFC did not go for him, no longevity.

To be devils advocate with Brendan, we could say that we have the two great strikers with phenomenal ability in the team and you might even have to work hard to make them not win most games. For him most substantially, is that he really coaches new levels of ability across the team more than any premiership manager has done in a long while. I struggle to find his equivalent in my memory. He does not even want us to be progressing so fast I suspect, as stated by him in a recent presser. He is right, we could do with having a bit more squad bedded in before too long if CL footy is coming soon. So glad Henry was here for a view of a proper thrashing handed out by his club. Will be amazed if he did not want to spend on reinforcements after that.

Craig if someone told me that we'd beat Bayern Munich 4-0 next year and someone else told me that we'd lose to Bayern Munich 4-0 next year I'd simultaneously believe both. This side is very unpredictable and such is the manner of our performances.
