Doing a bar crawl on Lark Lane on Saturday, anyone know where will be showing the Spurs game?

Will that Love and Rockets have it on as think we're planning on eating there?

Probably most places with it being on BT but Maranto's should have it on upstairs.

Nah there's a few decent places there. Just sick of the city centre to be honest, especially as my mates tend to have a mix of about 10 bars/pubs maximum that we always end up going to.

Never done a proper bar crawl on Lark Lane so it will be a nice change of scenery.

This is on tonight for anyone who lives in Liverpool ...

https://www.waterstones.com/events/an-evening-with-dave-haslam/liverpool

It’s impossible to imagine Liverpool if the Cavern, the Timepiece, Erics, the State, and Cream had never existed. We’d have to re-write the city’s past, present and future. Those venues, and others nationwide from Victorian music halls to the Marquee, from Hammersmith Palais to the Hacienda, and others in Liverpool - including the Jacaranda, Circus, and the Kazimier - all form part of Dave Haslam's definitive and captivating new book, 'Life After Dark: A History of British Nightclubs & Music Venues'.

Join Dave Haslam, with a panel including DJ Steve Proctor (the State), and Revo Ziganda (EVOL) and Marc Jones, co-founder of Medication. They’ll be discussing the value of venues, local and nationwide, past and present. Thoughts, memories and questions from the audience also very welcome, at this special event celebrating the history of great gigs and brilliant nights out.

Up there for a graduation ceremony next week, out with family group ranging from 21 -50's, boys and girls. Any recommendations for a decent few pubs, quiet enough for a chat etc with no aggro?

Cheers All

Depending on where your ceremony is you could do a lot worse than the Phil. Also I'm a big fan of the Pen Factory on Hope Street.

There are a lot of nice spots around Hope Street. I'd say the Pen Factory but it isn't open on Sundays, though she should give it a look if she's out on the Saturday as well. Frederik's is a decent little bar (if expensive), as is the Clove & Hitch, though C&H is a bit on the small side. Jenever is sound as well if she's into her gins. The Fly is round the corner on Hardman St too and isn't too rowdy at all on a Sunday night. Grab a spot by the window and you have a great little spot for watching the world go by.

That's from someone a few years older than your daughter. Those places are the usual spots me and my mates'll all go for drinks, the usual Matthew/Victoria St places aside. Hope this helps.

Nice one mate. There's also the London Carriageworks which can be a nice spot if you're having a quiet one but it costs an arm and a leg - only time I've been there was after a successful day at the races  ;D

Oh, and The Belvedere on Sugnell Street as well. Not sure what she's into and it's not everyone's taste but it's a unique little pub with a fireplace to sit by whilst drinking a Liverpool Gin. It's on the small side again but I think it's boss.

Oh and down by the Docks you have Circo which is quite good on a Sunday too, not too lively but a bit of atmosphere!

Yes mate, it's the old Picket, you get to it from Hardman Street.

I was there last night for the Mick Head gig (he was superb). I wasn't drinking though so I'm afraid I can't comment on the quality of the bar.
