Apropos of nothing, good luck to Jerome Sinclair.

Starts for Watford tonight.

Good to see the lad going places.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

/sniffs air - smells something suspiciously like that Dutch fellas odour

Coutinho - hacked down by a yard dog
Matip - landed awkwardly
Ings - done himself after coming back from a long injury
Firmino - knee into his calf by another yard dog

Who else is there

Oh yes,

Sturridge - perennially injured

Anyone else?

yeah, as I mentioned above, its Arsenal that need looking at regards the muscular thing.

All our injurues bar Lovren and Sturridge (I think) are not muscular. Not even sure Studge is, just that it's a calf injury.

Glad to see Mignolet start. with a lot of pressure on Karius it's right to take him out of the firing line for a bit and Mignolet will be desperate to prove himself

Playing in the infamous 'toxic thunder' kit as well...

We beat Crystal Palace wearing that kit, might be a good omen.

Honestly can't wait for the HT thread.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Come on Redmen,
whatever colours we're wearing and whoever's in or out the team, we are Liverpool.
And they're not.

Hope best games for all those playing for us tonight.

Hope we maintain the intensity throughout. We can score against these but we need to keep at them if we're to see a win.

C'mon Redmen!

What if we are 3-0 up?

Won't happen because the last two times we played there we lost, so obviously we have no chance and might as well just forfeit the match. :P

If the academy isn't here to provide squad depth, then what's the point of it?  A few months ago Iheanacho was 4th string Man City player; now he's pretty much right behind aguero (although looks like city is trying something new in today's game).
The academy is important, but too many from the academy is the problem, no experience beyond Moreno really

The goalkeeper situation is a bit of a cock-up really.

It's his first season and he's going through a bit of a tough patch, nothing wrong with taking him out of the team, as others have pointed out the same happened with de Gea in his first season.

The only downside is somewhere out there Phil Neville is touching himself to the idea of out-mind-gaming Klopp.

Think Klopp has just pointed out what an irrelevance the Neville's are-he couldn't even remember their names! Totally the right call taking him out which will toughen him up and make him work a bit harder. Compare the media reaction to Karius as opposed to the zero column inches devoted to Pogba being outplayed by almost every midfield this season.
