Created very little but took our chance when it came. Mane and then Origi with the follow up probably should have made it 2-0 near the end of the half.

Mignolet doing well.

Aside from the goal the only other chance we created was the mane effort off the post

It's been ponderous and predictable in the middle of the park, taking needless risks and giving away daft free kicks which Boro are looking for all night. You can see Jurgen fuming on the sides

Plenty of really nice incisive play at times but struggled to break down yet another defensive side, great that we've got the goal though as they have to come at us more and will hopefully tire later. Referee desperate for them to score from a set piece, every time one of them goes down they get a free kick.

It's painful watching Lovren and Henderson trying to get the ball in just the right position before passing it in these games.

Anyone would think Firmino is stuck out on the wing. He's infield nearly as much as when he plays central, just in a bit of bad form.

that twat traore is like a trained fucking seal. flops to the ground every single shoulder barge, then looks to his master jon moss. he gives him a free kick, not a fish, every single time.

in fact every time a boro player even falls over he gives a free kick.

a few of our players need to up the tempo, and origi or firmino need to occupy the central space otherwise we'll continue to dominate possession but struggle to test their centre backs

Could have been two up if Mane's shot had gone in despite not playing well.

Desperately miss Coutinho's creativity - wish Hendo would step up and be a bit more creative in his absence.

Still, great header from Lallana and Mignolet looks refreshed and confident in goal.

Will need to perform better in the second half to come away with all three points.

Good goal from Lallana, it's great to see him scoring once again. Mignolet has been quite solid, so let's hope he keeps that level of performance during the second half.

Hit them on the counter. That's all we can hope for. Might be worth putting Mane on the left and Firmino on the right. Traore is ridiculous and Mane might have some chance of stopping him skipping past a player. Just fucking win please.
