It would be hard for anyone to convince me that the referee was not a bloody cheat. There's no way that was a red card if he didn't send Flamini off. And there were several other decisions that mysteriously went Arsenal's way. The officiating in the PL is a joke.

Thought Michael Oliver did well today........

That , is, probably 15 points off 4th, in 10th position.
Merry Xmas.

At the end of the 1st half there were dozens slagging off Skirtel for his performance, just watch the same ones come in now and praise him.

I doubt it mate.  He's a defender who isn't very good at defending. But he is decent at the other end, nothing we don't know.

Blah. Is May here already? Here's to not getting relegated.

22 - Liverpool have 22 points from 17 games this season. No PL team has ever finished higher than 6th with that record at this stage. Europa

This is obvious. CL is gone. Looking forward to another rebuilding job starting this January.

I love Brendan Rodgers but starting Brad Jones has cost him 4 points in the last two games. 4 of the 5 goals he has conceded would of been saved by a decent keeper.

Blame the defence as much as him. They were equally at fault.
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

Should have won. Somebody needs to teach our players how to shoot from 18 yards out.

Delighted that Skrtel scored otherwise we'd hear all the rubbish spouted about him.

He was still terrible.

10th at Xmas(if Chelsea win as you'd expect). Not really good enough.

Some good football today but toothless up front and not able to defend. It's like Brendan's first 6 months in charge which is a bit shite considering he's been here for 2 and a half years and had 5 transfer windows.

Borini's second challenge is a straight red, he got off with a 2nd yellow. Ripped right though Cazorla's shirt with his studs.

Battered them today. Should have been long gone in the first half.

Signs of a good performance in there but the match descended into a shithouse-fest.

I don't think either of these teams will get Top 4.

shame the ref wasn't so card happy when flamini should've had a second yellow.

That really annoys me. It too easy for a ref to send Borini off for two stupid yellows, but Flamini should have gone as well. As usual though we get let down again.

Painful. We should have won the game comfortably. Arsenal never troubled us but scored two and we really battered them towards the end and yet couldn't score. Lucas had two shots at goal, Coutinho had three from near the penalty spot, we really should be scoring from that area. It's painful to watch. Commendable fight towards the end though we did slack off after the second went in. Even the crowd was anxious. We just collectively lack confidence.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Getting a draw under the circumstances is nice, but it was at home. And at a time we seriously need to win. Plus that Arsenal team was so unbalanced and tactically inept. Honestly, should be picking up 3 points and this is not a good result. At one point you need to stop accepting mediocrity and actually turn a corner.

Best performance since Spurs away.

Deserved a win - we must've had about 30 shots on goal.

Borini is finished here now. The fact Oliver gave EVERY ricochet throw decision to them was obvious, and he had a right to be frustrated, but you're just fucking asking for it when you do that.

We need a new goalkeeper for definite. Sakho's aggression and positivity was good and we looked excellent going forward aside from the finishing.

Play like that until the end of the season and we'll win more than we lose. I think we're too far behind for top 4 though.
nah I think its possible still, everyone except the top 2 are going to drop big points, manchester united are the great pretenders at the moment.

Bang. Great header.

Borini was far too hyped, far too determined to prove a point. It was like unleashing a starving, caged dog.

I feel for him. No blame at all. Just sympathy for how this season has gone for him.

Think that will be that as far as borini is concerned in a liverpool shirt.

I don't really know how to feel. We have some serious, serious issues at the back. I know you'll all shout at me for saying anything remotely negative in this thread but I can't feel good about that result. We were awesome going forward but yet again there is just no composure in front of goal. When you buy youngsters, composure is not a trait you receive. That can be forgiven but on top of that the sheer lack of aggression in defending from set pieces and the fact we have Brad Jones in goal can not be excused.

I'm not happy, even with a point. But it is certainly better than nothing, given that it also means Arsenal leave with 2 less.

shame the ref wasn't so card happy when flamini should've had a second yellow.

That's what I thought as well. He couldn't wait to send Borini off. Not that it wasn't a yellow on both occasions, but I would have liked seeing Flamini booked for his elbow and another Arsenal player for kicking away the ball in disgust. Consistency...
