Everybody and their dog knew that we were going to concede from that set piece the moment it was awarded. Arsenal knew it, and I have a feeling Martin Skrtel did too. A shame really, as it's soured what has been one of the best first halves I've seen us play in years.

I actually laughed when they scored despite my anger. What other team in this league could concede a goal from the opposition's ONLY attack in 45 minute? Arsenal did NOTHING in that half and still fucking scored.

Our lads worked so hard to get the lead and then couldn't hang on for 90 seconds till half-time. Infuriating.

On the plus side, good application, pressing and tempo from us. The performance level is definitely a couple of notches above where it has been this season.

I am worried that Arsenal are usually much better in the second half after starting slowly. Could end up rueing not making more use of their possession.

For a keeper to get beat though on the near post like that is a problem... He should have taken a step towards the near post and then maybe had a chance at the save.....

Coutinho has been absolutely superb, even without the goal, his dribbling and touches have been top.

Sterling had a quiet first half, didn't do much so hopefully should exploit tired legs in the second half.

We really look good, just need more of a goal threat.  Sakho has been stellar in my mind, passing well and keeping Sanchez quiet on his own as Markovic is just terrorizing Chambers down the flank.  If Sakho wasn't able to handle Sanchez then Chambers would be having a walk in the park as Markovic would never get forward.

The less said about the goal given up at the end the better.
