just a couple of pics this week with games being on, a clearer look at the end support they fitted this week and they have fitted a lift system main stand kop end to either help fit the brick panels into place or start laying them.

On the end roof truss? Think that's blue net not glass.

to be honest it does look like glass, and it could well be. Just plenty of blue net about on site too. Also not sure I've seen plans where those sections are glazed.

i guess they are probably polycarb and they are covered in protective plastic film giving them the blue look until the job is finished to protect from scratches.

The Red curtain wall glass shoud start installation this week...my mate works for the Curtain Wall suppliers, saying first installtion should be Monday...depending on weather...

I would have thought they will be the clear sections of the roof as per all designs and pics, covered in a protective film until ready for use..a bit like most new toys :-D

I think you're right - you can see it hanging down on the top sections. It's blue safety netting. The clear part of the roof is cantilevered out of the front of the truss.

Might be slightly off topic but has there been any news on plans to increase public transport back to town after the match considering the increase in seats? Only a few buses parked up at the end of Walton breck road and me and the missus barely made it onto the last one.

The bus driver was kicking off about the poor planning and how bad the route out of anfield is (he wasn't the first driver I've heard kicking off about it either). Mixing double deckers, bendy buses, traffic and pedestrians in a rush is not a good mix. Surprised there hasn't new any accidents yet thank god.

I saw at least 2 behind the Anny Road on Sunday... posted a few pics on twitter @spionkop304 if anyone wants to a take a look / share..

Time for another stupid question .... currently you can walk the length of the main stand between the old bit and the new part, will this all be blocked off when the stand is currently finished or are the team still going to access the stand at ground level ? ie once finished where do the team coaches go ? through a tunnel between the current and new stand (which could easily be created based on how the stand currently looks) ? Or do they pull up outside the front of the new stand ?

If you go back through this thread you'll find some plans that will answer your question.

Look on the left (Anny Rd end) of the plan and you'll see where a coach can drive in and out...

Judging by the Echo photos, it looks like you'll actually be able to see down to street level from some seats on the main stand. Has that ever been possible at Anfield before?

I think it's all enclosed mate, with any 'windows' so to speak being above head height. So would be very surprised if could see outside of the ground from any seats.
