Who is he?
Southampton striker. Bit cumbersome; thinks he's as handsome as Can.

He's there on Sunday? And there I was thinking this was going to be a hard one.
I've just wiped the sticky residue from my bellend onto the television screen. Taste it Leo. You deserve it.
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

he's a football legend, so he's welcomed

but he's also a tit

Lets see Maradonna, Plantini, Cruyff, Arrigo Sacchi...with greatness comes great titty-ness

"Pele may have mixed feeling if he looks across the park during his trip to Anfield after the infamous treatment he received from Bulgarian and Portuguese defenders during his two appearances at Goodison Park during the 1966 World Cup"

But he'll be mainly glad not to be at Goodison, which chimes with most people's feelings really, except of the course the loyal 38,000 souls who drag their bitter souls down there every fortnight in the hope of something, anything, something, good in their lives.

Pretty unprofessional if you ask me.

Southampton are playing Burnely on the Saturday, not sure why he's gonna travel up to Anfield afterwards.

Having said that he is struggling to replicate his early season form.

Is he? Not doubting you BY, just don't know anything about him (beyond the obvious footy clips). What's he done?

He had a LOT of affairs and has a great many children who he denies are his and refuses to acknowledge nor submit to DNA testing. The few he has acknowledged were from successful women. However, a lot of his affairs were with maids of his or women who lived in poverty/favelas for whom the child support he should be paying would make a massive difference. But, as they lack the education &/or financial means to take him to court, he simply ignores them.

I remember when his eldest daughter (her mother was his cleaning lady) was diagnosed with cancer, and then later found she didn´t have long left, she decided to make her story public and took him to court as she wanted to obtain the inheritance she would be entitled to by law as his child for her two kids when she died. he fought her every step of the way but finally lost in Brazil's equivalent of the Supreme Court.

Even then, he never contacted her. When she died he sent a wreath expressing the grief of "the Arantes do Nascimento family" to her husband and kids. He didn´t attend the funeral. Even today he still doesn´t acknowledge her as his daughter despite court ordered DNA testing proving that she is.

Other, far less important, reasons I hate him is - he is the voice of FIFA in Brazil and bangs their agenda drum. During the protests here before and during the world cup he made a statement telling the people of Brazil to "forget about demonstrations and just enjoy the football and support the team". Like that is all that matter. Like Brazil winning a world cup would fix the country.

He is widely hated in Brazil. During the protests here - a banner was visible mocking his FIFA title to call him "Pele - traitor of the century". The likes of Romario & Bebeto (both now politicians) are very critical of his position as FIFAs mouthpiece. Romario describes him as "the fifaman" and once said of him “He is a poet when he does not speak.” Of course he may have other reasons to support the Brazilian World Cup bid. His advertising agency, Sport 10, launched a year before the Confederations Cup made a profit of US$25m during 2014. Not that most of kids will ever see a dime of it.

This was a bit before my time, but from what I gather, Pele bursted on the scene in a Santos team that had great players. He quickly became the brightest star, but he was by no means carrying the team. Hmm... Who does that reminds me of, a certain boy named Raheem?

And by the way, I do indeed think Garrincha was the better player (and a man).

You really think Garrincha is the better man? Why? Both adulterous, Pele's a FIFA man - but Garrincha being a drink-driving wifebeater pushes him beyond no?

OK, I didn't say perfect... But I've heard Garrincha's interviews (recorded, of course) and he came through as a caring man, more sincere, serving a bigger cause. Pele's interviews are serving himself and/or his alter ego. Maybe it's my take on things, I don't want to impose them on anyone. FWIW, take it as an opinion nothing else.

If they take him to Goodison, it's possible he could have a nasty flashback - with it being a 60s time capsule like

Pele's thousand goals are like counting all the ones you ever scored at 5 a side.

The standard of football he played in was lousy. Even Everton managed to win trophies back then

One Maradona
Theres only one Maradona
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. Didn't know all about Pele's deplorable behaviour, always just thought people didn't like him because he was a rent-a-quote gobshite for FIFA during World Cup tournaments. What a c*nt of a man. Lets hope we give him hostile reception he deserves.
