How is it Karius' fault for Matip not knowing which his leg's which?
The players need to be kicked back into the game by Klopp.

Our attacking play is pretty good. But when your goalkeeper isn't particularly good it sends jitters through the entire back four.

Too many speculative long balls.

We go 1 nil up and stopped playing, you could see West Ham getting back in the game.
Agree, was shouting at the TV.

Shame about Karius, clearly doesn't seem ready and his confidence is in tatters. However, we also have to blame our goalkeeping coach. Surely he told Karius to stand that far right in the goal? Mignolet did the exact same thing against Sunderland last season when Adam Johnson scored from a FK. That being said, Karius really should've been saving that.

As for the rest of the team, really disappointed with our attitude when we go ahead. Happened last week where we just sort of gave up after going 3-1 up. Hoping for better in the second half, hopefully get an early goal and kick on from there!

You all need to be patient with Karius in a general sense. I agree he's at fault for these goals and has looked generally pretty shit so far, but it's early. Have patience

Sorry, but you put in a half-decenet keeper in there and we go in at halftime 1-0 up, at worst 1-1 with every opportunity to win the game in the second half.

We have a team capable of competing held back by a keeper that's (as of yet) nowhere near good enough. Are we really going to keep dropping points just to bed him in?

It seems we are.

We don't turn this turn around and the title is pretty much over for us, 45 minutes to keep our chances alive.

We're only seven points behind Chelsea who, whilst they might be going on an unbeaten run, have not been 100% perfect themselves, or should Man City also rule out their title chances as well?

Our keeper is awful. End of.

Poor hand to free kick and wrong side of goal.

Then doesn't react at all to the situation for the 2nd. Amateur stuff.

Plus our defence has no confidence in him either

He can't be blamed for the 2nd. That one is all on Matip. But I agree, the positioning for the free kick, and the limp wristed attempt to save it was laughable

Matip can't be blamed for the second either. His positioning is fine. The cross took a deflection that caused the ball to drop just behind him.  You can't blame him for that.

Think West Ham will hold on here, we've dropped our performance since our goal.

Was expecting us to batter them after going in front, it hasn't been the case though.

We don't turn this turn around and the title is pretty much over for us, 45 minutes to keep our chances alive.
I disagree. Not even halfway through the season and 7 points off top if the result stands. To say the next 45 minutes makes or breaks our chances is silly

"Oh but we can't drop Karius! It will dent his confidence!"

He is an absolute unmitigated liability. Not one single aspect of his game is good enough. Indecisive, can't catch, doesn't make routine saves and decision making is truly abject.

Get him off. I don't care how poor Mignolet is, he's a lot fucking better than this.
That's not what people said a few months ago...

Some said that they don't care what Karius is like- he can't be as bad as Mignolet.

Hmm... now you all want to go back?
Let the lad have his gametime and adjust his game. Like I pointed out- he fits us better than Mignolet - apart from his shot-stopping at the moment, but that is half expected.

Certain player will make headlines again - but as a general comment on the team, we look different and cumbersome with an immobile striker upfront. The movement, the pace, the closing down from the front has gone.

Get Firmino back up top.

Origi is immobile?  lol what a fucking idiot.

Totally agree. We have a golden chance to win this league and its killing us to have a goalkeeper who seems to be worse than Mignolet between the sticks.

Defence costs us again. Just awful.

On the plus side in recent weeks West Ham have been equally shambolic at the back. Cue them turning into Late-80's AC Milan for the duration of this next half.

This will probably get drowned in ten pages of bedwetting by the time I post it, but it's half fucking time, we're only losing by one goal, we've shown some promise, their goals have been fairly lucky and Klopp will eviscerate the players in the dressing room.

You'd get more time with that post had we not done the exact same thing last week.

Not one for half time hyperbole but that was fucking garbage

Learnt absolutely nothing from last week. Completely stopped playing after taking the lead.

Karius' positioning in the first cost him the save, and he should have come off his line and smothered the second.

Firmino is wasted out wide.

Karius has been thrown in at the deep end and clearly isn't up to it. Is he another to add to the list that John Achterberg's ruined? Can see us scoring another two goals but whether we can keep them out at the other end is another matter. The players thought the game was won at 1-0, Firmino looks lost on the left.

Also jesus give Karius a break. Yeah, most goalkeepers cost points in their first season here. Reina did, Schmeichel did, De Gea did.. Bloody De Gea looked exactly like this for his first few months and has grown to such an extent that Man Utd would go down without him.

Reminding me of some of the worst trademarks of a Rodgers Liverpool side at the moment. It's great to try and entertain and all, but for fuck sake give the opposition some respect, eh? We're playing so reckless going forward, we forget we actually have to defend sometimes.

That big hole in front of our back four keeps appearing like clockwork. Their tactic of launching it into the channels for Antonio is crude but effective, too.

So let's see what we're made of. Make or break really, because our defending as a team - from the front and through midfield - is flaky to say the least. So many mistimed headers, so many powderpuff tackles.

Last weeks game in one half. Get in front, look good, seem to decide "these are shite, we're too good for them" and then get what we deserve for that attitude.  At least this week Klopp has the chance to put a rocket up them whilst there's a chance to correct it.

When we attack them we look like we've got a chance. It's far from over, but they need to be at it for the whole 45 minutes. Hopefully the players don't panic after 10 minutes and start snatching at shots from 25 yards every couple of minutes.
