Really hope his teachers let him off for his homework this evening.  Be terrible for the lad if he had to go home and write an essay on Keats's poetry or some shit.

I feel so fucking old watching these children on the pitch!! Joking aside, made up for the lad, great seeing him going absolutely nuts in front of the Kop when he scored. The scary thing is that he looked absolutely comfortable, not at all fazed by the occasion. Good times.

What a moment - relief at Divock's goal but when Woodburn lashed that in I went mental. What a moment for the lad. A piece of history.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

If Ben Woodburn was a Manc, the BBC and Sky would be calling for a national holiday!

I was eager for him to be brought on - absolutely love seeing youngsters from the Academy do a job. A fantastic assist from TAA and a well taken debut goal for Woody. Exciting times ahead.

Brilliant moment for the kid. Is he mostly a wide forward? Or does he also play up front? Looks rather small for a Striker.

(Also... Somewhere out there... in his little Owen shrine... Michael Owen is seething)

He a left sided forward.

Fucking hell mate, we've just reached a cup semi after a young 17 year old local talent has scored a goal and the first thing you want to talk about is the mancs and how the media hate us?

It had all the romanticism you need right there, but if they don't let him off - I'd say Ode To Fanny is a classic that many of us aspire to.

And with such simplicity,
The European Cup, surely, is won.

Just seems able to find space in the area.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

the fact that Klopp trusted the lad and he became our youngest ever goalscorer makes me think Klopp is charmed, as is Ben, as are we
