It is impossible to break an egg by placing your thumb on the bottom of it, your index finger on the top of it and squeezing.

Also impossible to break it if you squeeze it in the palm of your hand.

I tried this and then someone told me that if you drop an egg like that it won't smash either so I did and it didn't smash and everything was alright. Great day that was.

Daily you will breathe in 1 litre of other peoples anal gases.

But you breathe about 10 litres of air per minute, so it's all good.

You sure about that?

Fairly sure. The stories in the Bible might all be rubbish (curing lepers, turning water into wine, dying and coming back to life three days later and all that), but the chances are that a fella called Jesus was wandering around the Middle East roughly 2000 years ago preaching a new religion which became known as Christianity.

I'll go with you as far as there being a fella, but he seems to have had many different names, and the christianity is really a hotch potch of lots of different stuff.

You can only be fairly sure. There are no contemporary accounts of his life outside of the Gospels, and since they were a complete fabrication it makes me wonder. Maybe (probably?) a mad Rabbi existed called Jesus, but the evidence is scant.

Arthur Ridley, who played Private Godfrey in Dad's Army, saw active service with the Somerset Light Infantry in World War 1 including fighting on the Somme where his left arm was badly damaged. He also received serious injuries to his legs and suffered blackouts throughout his life because of a blow to the head from a German rifle butt. He was also recommended for a Distinguished Conduct Medal for bravery. He rejoined the Army for World War 2 and was made a Major and saw active service with the British Expeditionary Force in France at the beginning of the war before being discharged because of the legacy of his wounds.

You wouldn't expect that from the old fella in Dad's Army, would you?

Hadrian (he of the Jockland wall) was a homosexual who, when his much younger lover died during a sightseeing trip to Egypt, deified him as a God.

The cult that grew up around the young man was so popular that it rivalled Christianity in the early part of the second century.

Hadrian was famous for spending very little time in Rome. He was in Egypt en-route from Mauretania (Morocco) to Judea during a massive tour of the Empire which included ordering walls built in Britannia and on the Rhine to mark the edges of the Empire, I believe. When he got to Judea he ordered a clamp down on Judaism which caused the Third Jewish Revolt which ended in total defeat for the Jews and with their homeland being renamed Palestine in order to try and purge any memory of them from the world.

Sounds like Ancient X-Factor.

Studied about that in Astronomy. Was a boss class that.
