You're posting in the wrong thread. This belongs in the "Huge things in life that make me ecstatic and gives anyone reading about it a warm glow" thread. Delighted for you and you missus.

I've been looking after my boy since October 29th. Before we flew out everybody was worried about how his mum would cope without him and how he would cope without her. They had only been apart for a total of three day and two nights he's seven now). Any question about how I would cope was met with "How hard can it be?" (bluster) and "Of course I can manage, I'm his dad" (false bravado). Yesterday my mother Skyped me and wanted to see him though he was still asleep. "He's just like you... same [this] and same [that]" but the the part of our conversation that made the biggest impression on me was when she said "Thank you for looking after my [only] grandson so well"

I smiled all day (today too) hearing that.

Finding a bottle of my favourite salad dressing that's a year out of date in the fridge, thinking 'fuck it', making a salad, eating it to find there's nothing wrong with the dressing at all. Paul Newman you boss.

Oh, and much as I like her, seeing the mother 'in-law' getting into a taxi and buggering off back down south, she's great but very hard of hearing and I get tired of having to repeat myself.

1) The couple of hours I spend every evening playing badminton and some footy with neighboring kids.

2) Sleeping sound every night knowing that my dog is right next to me on bed.

3) Eating out in general but eating really spicy food in particular.

jump to the other side of the fence etc. i ended up blocking a few on twitter cos i was sick of repeated moaning

yesterday as was said above was another example. whinging about balotelli and sturridge not playing. it worked. i was a bit skeptical about lovren and can where they started and i think can was a bit all over the shop once or twice but it worked. people would rather moan than admit they are wrong or give praise where its due

small thing or a big thing making me happy these days is mignolet's form. he is like a new signing

You're not wrong mate, beautiful.  Was it used in a British TV series, like Miss Marple or something? It's nagging me now and I can't put my finger on it.
