Yep - one look through this thread is explanation enough of why I won't get one - you seem to be just as likely to get a really badly done one as a really good one, and you can't exactly rub them out and start again.

There are some shokingly bad ones in this thread (I'll not say which ones) that people have to have on them for the rest of their lives...

They look superb.  However, I can't help thinking that the 'L' on the scarf is upside down.  Is it just me ?

Having looked at this again it should show a full stop (.) and a C if its the reverse of the front. Otherwise it IS wrong. the only way it could be right is if the F.C. has been left out on the reverse of the scarf!! mind boggling!!
Its a great design anyway and is my background on my P.C.

It has been changed a while ago - that is a really old image.

So the design in question (the old one) I am right that the L is wrong.  However the new design which has been CHANGED nidgemo, is correct.  So were both right, ok?

Remember talking to a tattoo artist about getting my crest done and he was telling that most don't like doing football crest's as people want the tattoo done the same size as on the clubs jersey's. Making the tattoo look shit and given them a bad name.

But I guess if you can come up with a design big enough most will tattoo it.

I got my design from a Liverpool t-shirt that I bought in the club shop a few years back. The labels was in the same shape as the crest. These label might still be used are a good size.

I really want to get something done (Crest wise) but, really don't want to take a big risk unless I knew or had seen the tattooist's work either on a picture or someone in the flesh.  If anyone's got a really good one like the old Liver bird with L.F.C. under it or a recent one with the RAWK design (which is good quality) could someone put a picture up or I.M. me with it and the details of where they got it done (Liverpool area - preferably). Thanks.

The old one, the l is right, because, as I showed, the wording goes through the scarf and is backwars on thereverse. Add to that the twist which is clearly visible in the scarf, and you get the backwards, upside down L that is in the original.

So going on what your saying then you'd effectively have a scarf with the writing back to front or the wrong way round if you like?

This is mine just after I had it done. Can't believe some of the shite ones on here - how difficult is it to trace a liverbird.

Tip: Go into to the tattoo parlor with exactly what you want in your hand, right size and everything.

Also, look at PHOTO's of the tattoo artists work. Not just the shitty standard design books they have in there.
