Don't think we played badly, but Soton defended really well. They were probably trying to do the exact same as Burnley; let us have the ball and counter, which they threatened to do. A win, with arsenal, utd and otentially others dropping points would have been nice but a point away to them isn't a bad result
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

Not bothered.

By far the better team. Missed clear cut opportunities. Never troubled defensively.

This wasn't like Burnley.

For fuck's sake. As much as I love Klopp, I seriously can't understand why he took so long in bringing Sturridge - he should've done that at least 10 minutes earlier. And those missed chances... fucking hell, so frustrating.

Hopefully those bastards from London also fuck it up tomorrow.

Christ, one of those days. Some great chances missed there.

Not disastrous though. Got some decent fixtures coming up now, need to make them count.

Frustrating. Pissed away too many chances today. 3 clear cut chances and no goals.

Subs were abit late too needed them earlier.

Had a few chances to finish and didn't take them.

Frustrating that Sturridge didn't come on earlier. The players also seemed to be settling for a point there.

I think Moreno could have offered something on the left there as he did against Palace.

Bit small time to moan about the Southampton tactics, they're not going to play into our hands are they.

We played well and had great chances to win. Not the worst result in the world, we move on.

Not too bothered by that, Saints away are a tough side and a bit of a bogey team for Liverpool. Could have won it but didn't lose it. More importantly, clean sheet away after an international break. We knew the run had to come to an end sometime, like this is best if that is going to happen I reckon.

Did anyone get booked for timewasting at all? Clattenburg gave us one free kick because their throw-in taker on the left abosrbed about 40 seconds for a throw-in (which he had been doing all game???? Book the c*nts when they do it the second time, not give us a free kick after the twentieth time. It just gave them a license to waste time all game.

Whatever, point away at Southampton, created what we needed just didn't take them today.

I'd be so depressed if I was a Southampton fan though, how dreary to park the bus at home, remember when they absolutely destroyed us for a half a few years back under Poch? They really looked like a team going places.

A perfectly acceptable result, just a shame it wasn't a great one.

Was always gonna be that sort of game, not sure why people were predicting an easy win in the prematch thread. Knackered and off the pace players returning from internationals and we always look off our game after a break. Any other time of the season and we probably win that game.

Can't understand why we waited until the last 10 minutes to make a change though, nor why we put Origi on for extra time. Thought it was obvious we were crying out for changes at HT.

Think Can might find himself on the bench when Lallana returns.

Sturridge should have come on earlier, some looked a bit weary - bit surprised Klopp didn't show a bit more imagination with his substitutions.

Well you can't win every game . Disappointed but kinda expected to be honest .Their defense is of high quality and after international break not going to be at our best

Still our first away clean sheet since January(last one in the 6-0 win at Villa) .So a big positive in one way too

The popular narrative will most probably be "Liverpool fails to break down a stubborn defence" but that would be entirely misleading. Only problem today was finishing. We were obviously tired but still created more than enough chances.

We'll be back firing next week.

Coward of a manager Puel setting his team up like that at home.

We didn't help ourselves with missed chances though,Firmino Coutinho Mane and Clyne missing easy chances.

I really really really hate international breaks.

What was Firmino thinking there, just take a touch and side foot it past the keeper. Trying to be fancy, did the same against Watford at 0-0 as well.

We made a good Southampton team look very average and they had almost no attacking threat because they had to be so focused to keep us out.
Despite that we created some very good chances, the Firmino one being the best plus a few headers that should have hit the target, and Can's which
was a decent chance too.

Overall a very positive performance against a good team away from home, the way we are dominating these games now offensively and defensively
is very encouraging for the future.

Diabolical finishing, only ourselves to blame.

That's really the gist of it. We played well and created enough chances to win but just couldn't finish some absolutely guilt-edged opportunities.

For me the most frustrating thing was Klopps subs - Ridiculous time to bring Origi on 91st minute, why play someone for 3 minutes? We aint time wasting, we're trying to win a game of football.

Some of the players (Firminho, Henderson, Can, Coutinho, Mane) looked way of the pace out there. Had we made 3 fresh changes at 60 minutes, we might have been celebrating a victory.

Never mind.

Bus parking c*nts. Hope they go down.

The reason we didn't win today was we didn't take any of our chances. Nothing to do with them parking the bus.

Bit disappointing, but Southampton defended well and organised well.

We looked a bit tired - post International Rubbish probably (When can we ditch these stupid friendlies that no one cares about??)

But. Clean sheet, a decent performance and we had 3 or 4 chances that could have won the game.

Pretty happy overall. A point there isn't a bad point. Let's see if we can pick it up in the next game and the Cup.

I'd say it's a big complement to how far we've come. The fact that Southampton, at home, are parking a proper bus in front of their goal, means teams must be shit scared of us.

Would have battered that lot before the international break. they reduced the game to a scrap.hands everywhere. fuming but we had the chances and just looked jaded..still a draw away will do.
