Well, well, well. That was very encouraging from Markovic. I hope he gets a good run of games at Hull and gives Klopp something to think about in the summer.

Yeah, mistake by Hull's owners - scuppered their own determination to get relegated by bringing in a player with something to prove  ;D

Watching Markovic for us I always thought his dribbling was poor but his ability to break the lines with his passing was excellent. So never really understood why he was seen as a winger. There were times when he played on the left for us and he would open his body up and take out a couple of the opposition with a lovely 10-20 yard pass along the floor.

My brother is a Spurs fan and he said that Markovic ran both games against them the centre when he played for Benfica. Best player on the pitch in both ties.

If he has the freedom to come into the centre he could do very well for Hull.

Shame he breaks down with injury so often.

Tells a lot about Markovic if the Liverpool side needs fast wingers and he doesn't even get a hello. Maybe he plays his way into our squad if he saves Hull from relegation... or atleast his performances make his value increase a wee bit for a transfer

I really doubt what he's saying is true. If he thought he had a future here then he would've made him stay with us for the rest of the season, even if he's on the bench as we've seen with many of our youth players.

Frankly speaking I thought he would've been a nice addition to our squad with his pace and direct play.

Kinda thinking the same too. I don't think he would have played much here though. At least with hull he will get games.

Posted the above only for info really. I wouldn't bet money on Lazar playing here again.

It's a good possibility.  Being that far away from the manager and rest of the staff will make it even more difficult for him.  It's incredibly hard to make it at Liverpool as it is.

He'll probably be playing for Fulham at Hull next season if he carries on his attitude.

What's wrong with his attitude?

He was slated for his poor attitude at Sporting which is why they wanted to cancel his loan, and now Hull fans on his back after again pointing out his attitude in the 4-1 loss to Fulham.

Sakho signs for Palace on loan

http://lastwordonfootball.com/2017/02/01/mamadou-sakho-signs-crystal-palace-loan/

What does everyone think of the Sakho news?
He was still a pretty solid defender and made big contributions, although he didn't look comfortable on the ball. A fan favorite at Anfield, and a shame how it panned out with Klopp.
Does he still have a future at Liverpool?

Good game for Markovic tonight. Shame that he hasn't scored. It would have been a great goal. Even if he never returns to LFC, there is future for him in the Premier League.

There were lots of mistakes made during our 2014 purchases and unfortunately Markovic did not fulfil his early potential. Sometimes things just don't turn out the way the club or player expected but 2014 was a truly bad year.

Not sure he had the angle to score, as hitting it further to the right probably sees it hit the defender.

Could have scored, but was a nice piece of imagination that most players wouldn't have tried. Grosicki, Markovic and Abel Hernandez is quite an exciting front three with loads of pace and Marco Silva looks like he knows what he is doing. Should be an interesting watch for the rest of the season.
