Weird how stubborn Wenger is on this issue. His comments today again portray a corporate greed executive, not a football manager looking out for fans.

Corporate tickets at the Emirates are a joke, highest matchday ticket is £97. Yet he keeps saying money is needed for players wages, players fees, agents. What fee'??? :no :no He didn't buy any outfield players.

Why should the club's money all go to greedy players and agents. Why?? :no Clubs must re-evaluate, and look at this. Wages are disgusting at the moment. Absolutely disgusting.

Wenger is a complete hypocrite.  When Arsenal were struggling under the burden of their stadium debt he never stopped going on about how money was distorting everything in the game.  Now that they're cash rich he wants to sweep the issue under the carpet.

Spoke to an Arsenal fan this morning who said that a shed load of the cash used to buy out other shareholders in 2011, has been leveraged against the club hence the lack of activity in the transfer market despite the huge surge in income over the last decade.

I am a Business Studies undergraduate at Liverpool John Moores University conducting research into ticket prices at Anfield for my dissertation.

I have a 30 question survey which I'm using to find out Liverpool Supporters’ attitudes towards ticket price, what groups of supporters are attending matches, who is attending regularly and what factors are restricting supporters from attending.

Here is the link to my questionnaire: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeDkYIAIuxRPRgbRpN4LL0sEx8_PsUzfhNwTxbCkGT5-6A-5A/viewform

Thanks

Going the match has became something that Dad's do.  If it isn't addressed then in ten to twenty years time it'll be something that Grandad's do.

I put my lad and myself on the season ticket waiting list when he was 6 weeks old. He was 10 in January. We are currently at 17000 on the waiting list. There's no way he's going the match on a regular basis anytime soon.

The demographics attending games are changing but how did this work before, did most people stop attending games once they were in their late 30's, if people live longer and keep attending games how is it possible to have younger fans attending without increasing capacity, is there a large grouping of fans in late 60's who might all stop attending in 10-15 years time.
And as ever having adults paying full price is most profitable for the club although I guess this might change if ever growing proportion get the senior discount.

There are still that many on the list?

It was first come first served. Plus loads of kids use to be let through the turnstiles for free. The demand for tickets has grown and the prices have got higher.

You won't get large groups just suddenly stop going you get a few here and there each season for whatever their reason it's why it takes so long to get the waiting list down. More season tickets should be made available when we have got such a massive waiting list.

My cousin started getting tickets in his own name a few seasons ago (got the age where he had a job and could afford tickets), the last few seasons he has been able to get all but a tiny handful of home tickets, and he has managed to get most of those on general sale so far.

So whilst a ST is helpful, and it is a bit more effort otherwise, it's clearly possible to build up a history so can purchase more and more tickets each season.

I suppose realistically the only way you could have a good system which allowed groups of kids together or parents taking their kids would be to have a level of spare capacity in the group say 800 to 1000 seats per game empty but for the very biggest games something the club would not be interested in.
