They're in the NW Counties 1st Division this season.
From there it's-

NW Counties Premier Division
Northern Premier League Div 1 North
Northern Premier League Premier Division
National League North (AKA Conference North)
National League
League 2
League 1
Championship
Premier League

So in theory we could have a new derby by 2025. Alternatively, they could potentially meet Everton FC in the National League in 2021.

Pretty tight from 5th upwards. Hopefully they'll do it. Possible couple of derbies for them next season if they do, with Bootle and AFC Liverpool.

In the hunt for the league and automatic promotion
One semi final second leg to play
A final on the 1st May

Reading the thread through shows how much progress COLFC have made in their first season. I have been down to see them a fair few times and I am hooked. Fiver in, stand with your mates and have a pint. The atmosphere is spot on, free parking and a good laugh. The club does a lot of charity work as well that is well received in the local community

I tried non-league a few years ago and just felt like I was gegging in. I tried Marine, Cables, AFC, I felt I was tagging on to something I had no affinity to. Nobody wants that

COLFC has not ignored other teams nor tried to encroach, it has set out to be something new to capture the large numbers of people who are becoming a bit pissed off with the modern game (prices, access to tickets, kick off times, the general hassle of maintaining loyalty). This is a lot better than trying to build up loyalty when you are competing online with the 'greatest football family' for tickets. Everton fans will see this shift when they get their new place.

Good luck to them in their quest for a ground and I hope they continue the good work. Conditions are ripe for non-league teams to push on providing they incorporate the things that have made COL a success (so far).

Whitchurch drew yesterday so automatic promotion is back in COLFCs hands now

Some big games coming up https://www.colfc.co.uk/1st-team/ - The Charnock one in particular

I would recommend giving it a go. The clubhouse at Cables was bouncing, 550 there for the game (400 COLFC at a conservative guess) and a fair few stayed behind for a drink and a sing song. It is not a protest club, it is just a place were people can enjoy football without the mental loyalty schemes and stupid KO times, it is more a celebration of the things that football clubs were built on, a common cause, like minded people all pulling together and ultimately enjoying it. There is a great mix of Reds and Blues, in our group of 10-12, the rivalries are left at the gate

Give it a go, it is a only a fiver

COLFC are only through to another final after overcoming a 2-0 first leg loss to win on pens

Try it, you might enjoy it

Fiver in, no paying to belong, a team trying to win trophies and doing good in the community.

723 there midweek to see the draw against Charnock Richard

A good game with a lot riding on it.

This club is not just a flash in the pan, we are building something. People disenfranchised by the game, the money, the circus. All getting together and enjoying footy. The tide is turning

By the way, I lived in Charnock Richard for a few years in a big farmhouse. Nice area of Chorley that.

One of the best days I have had watching footy, few in the Rocket before getting the coach there to watch the final

Great crowd, good mix of women and children enjoying the day out. Like minded people enjoying the football. Everything fell into place, even the weather was on our side

The party afterwards was boss too. Those who haven't tried it need to get down, what have you got to lose? We have a play off this weekend, loads riding on the game and a family friendly atmosphere.

Congrats to the Purps! I LOVE non-league football, I went to the home and away games of my local team for a few years before going to uni years ago. They've just been relegated from the Conference North though :(

Good stuff, my local club Halifax got promoted straight back to the Conference from Conference North. Hopefully youll join us soon in the league. Just short of 8,000 there yesterday vs Chorley.
