Haha, maybe. Obviously you want a manager to talk up your team, but whenever an opposition manager does it, rival instinct kicks in and you kinda want them to set themselves up for a fall.

Do they though? Spurs are used to playing on Thursday nights already unlike Everton who will need to adjust, and also have a better squad.

I've seen a few shouts on RAWK about this thread (we're bitter, obsessed, the usual twaddle). What they fail to realise is, these observations, and the many others on footy forums all over the place, from all sorts of clubs, wouldn't reach the heights they do if they didn't keep giving us so much bloody ammunition.

Seen some of them claiming the game was sold out for Porto but 2 stands we're closed for building work

To be fair it must be pretty awkward to have a mouth full of microphones in your face and try to tip-toe around the subject without blaming your player to create a reputation for him or sounding like you're completely off your rocket by writing off the entire episode. His comments are about what you'd expect from a football manager really.

That said that was one of the worst tackles of the season, not just out games but across the entire PL. I'm surprised the PL or FA don't look at retrospective bans for brutal tackles like that where there's a pretty clear intent to injure, but the PL and FA are a little bit hit and miss though with their rules for the most part.

SSN saying Eto'o could go to Everton... Would be a great signing for them. Ideally he'll move back to Russia so we don't have to see anymore of him though.

Also, I don't think I've ever heard a more timid interview than Christian Atsu's press conference. Doesn't exactly radiate confidence.

Some quotes popped up in the Mail, supposedly from Marca

Luis Enrique: 'Gerard Deulofeu was wasted last year. They tried to kill his flair and vision. That won't happen at Seville.'

Have a feeling it's Twitter shite but the fume from that lot is funny nonetheless.

If he "left in a leg brace" he'd hardly make the bench! Most likely bollocks anyway.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.
